With that, here are Dubbs’ top Travelers Championship picks and best bets across the golf betting markets.

Odds updated as of 10:00 a.m. ET on June 21.

Travelers Championship Picks

The Travelers Championship will be played at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut. Harris English won this event in 2021, and he stands in with longshot 100-1 odds to claim the top spot this time around. Recent winners of this tournament also include Dustin Johnson (2020), Chez Reavie (2019), Bubba Watson (2018), Jordan Spieth (2017), and Russell Knox (2016).

As Dubbs noted on the podcast, this course is good for positional play. It rewards the short-game players who have pinpoint accuracy on their approach shots. With that in mind, strokes gained around the green, strokes gained on approach, and strokes gained putting are the most important metrics to monitor heading into this event.

The following are abbreviated, edited excerpts of Anderson’s analysis from his latest episode of Props Golf, which he hosts twice weekly. For full analysis, you can view the full episode at the bottom of this article.

Rory McIlroy Outright Winner (+1100)

Best odds available: +1100 at FanDuel Sportsbook

Dubbs’ Take: Dubbs knows when the current No. 2 player in the world is in the mix, he is always a strong candidate to take home a win. McIlroy is also red-hot right now with impressive finishes in two recent PGA Tour tournaments.

The Irishman is coming off of a T-5 at the U.S. Open and a victory at the RBC Canadian Open. Regardless of the stats, he has to be a contender going into this weekend’s Travelers.

Dubbs has to have a slice of McIlroy here, even if he has some of the shortest odds of the week.

Xander Schauffele Outright Winner (+2100)

Best odds available: +2000 at FanDuel Sportsbook

Dubbs’ Take: Schauffele recently won the Zurich Classic and is a five-time winner on the PGA Tour. If we break down the important metrics going into this week’s Traveler’s Championship, we can see that Schauffele has no weaknesses and is a great pick to make a push at the top spot.

He is 38th in shots gained off the tee, 12th gained in shots of approach, 29th in shots gained around the green, and 62nd in shots gained putting. With no holes in his game, count on the jack-of-all-trades to make a strong run.

Christiaan Bezuidenhout Top 20 Finish (+200)

Best odds available: +200 at DraftKings Sportsbook

Dubbs’ Take: This is a true “plus-money peach” in Dubbs’ opinion. The South African excels on shorter courses, making him a solid pick to finish in the top 20 on the more accuracy-oriented TPC River Highlands.

Bezuidenhout also has some momentum going into the Travelers with a recent T15 in the Charles Schwab Challenge and a T12 in the AT&T Byron Nelson. Expect another consistent performance going into this weekend.

The +200 odds look great at DraftKings Sportsbook.
