Jayson Tatum OVER 25.5 Points

Jayson Tatum is set for a favorable matchup against the Detroit Pistons on Friday. He has the ninth-highest scoring average in the NBA at 25.9. Although it’s not much over the 25.5 point bet here, you have to take into account who he’s facing.

The Detroit Pistons defense ranks among the worst in the NBA, allowing 111.92 points per game. He’ll be matched up against Jeremi Grant, an adequate defender, but not much for Tatum. What’s really important here is Tatum’s ability to stretch the floor.

Tatum actually averages more points when on the road than he does at home. Over the last fifty games, his road game points average is 27.63.

For some reason, he also shoots better from beyond the arc when traveling. In 24 road games, Tatums 3PT percentage is 36.3%.

Al Horford OVER 8.5 Points

It should come as no surprise that we’re going to take Al Horford going over 8.5 points here. The Detroit Pistons’ interior defense is awful, and Horford can dominate against them. This year, Al Horford is averaging 10.46 points per game, and it goes up to 10.59 ppg on the road.

Let’s also not forget that the Pistons are allowing opposing teams to shoot 47.3% from the field. Considering they’re playing the Celtics, this game could get out of hand quickly. Al Horford has also been shooting remarkably better lately, going 38.2% from the arc in his last ten.

The Celtics are going to run, not walk, away with this game. With the terrible interior defense of the Pistons, both Horford and Tatum should have great games. Horford could also see more minutes today, giving him a better chance to hit the over.

Evan Mobley UNDER 30.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Evan Mobley and the Cavaliers face off against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night. The points + rebounds + assists (PRA) line is at 30.5, which we think is quite high. He’ll be matched up against Mason Plumlee, a physical center who won’t be bullied.

We should also mention that Mobley’s PRA average is nowhere near the 30.5 point mark. In fact, he averages nearly five points under at 25.93 per game. Sure, he’s great down in the paint against smaller centers, but Plumlee isn’t small.

Mobley will also have to worry about Miles Bridges, an incredible shot-blocker and rebounder. With Bridges and Plumlee in the paint, Mobley won’t be able to get nearly as many rebounds as he averages.

James Harden UNDER 42.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

The Brooklyn Nets are on quite the skid, losing six games in a row. Although this isn’t all on James Harden, he just isn’t quite as good without Kevin Durant.

This happens because teams are able to focus on him and limit his effectiveness. Tonight, they face the Utah Jazz.

James Harden will be matched up against Donovan Mitchell, a strong defender. As always, Harden will find a way to score, but putting up 42.5 PRA is a little far-fetched.

His average on the year is 40.64. On the road over the last ten games, it drops to 38.71.

It’s very hard to stop the effectiveness of James Harden, but the Jazz have a strong defense. They’ll have to spread their attention between Harden and Irving, but they’ll focus most of their efforts on Harden.

Luka Doncic UNDER 46.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

The Dallas Mavericks are hosting Philadelphia tonight in a game between Luka Doncic and Joel Embiid. Doncic is the seventh-best scorer in the NBA, averaging 26.0 points per game. Currently, he averages 8.8 rebounds per game as well, which is great for a point guard.

However, tonight driving the lane might not be a good option for Luka. Each time he goes into the paint, he’ll have to worry about Joel Embiid, who’s dominating the NBA.

This year, Luka has averaged 42.23 PTS+REBS+ASTS. We don’t see him being able to break over 46.5 tonight.

He’s facing the eighth-best defense in the NBA, a defense that allows just 105.53 points per game. The Dallas offense is one of the most underwhelming in the league, scoring an average of 106.25 per game. Expect Luka Doncic to go under 46.5 PTS+REBS+ASTS tonight.
