Best NBA Summer League Bets Today – Thursday, July 10
Our picks are ready to roll for Thursday’s NBA Summer League action. Jump into the action at Underdog before Summer League is over!
Johnny Furphy Higher Than 20.5 PRA
I’m not 100% what to make of the Indiana roster for this Summer League, but it feels pretty obvious that Furphy will be one of their top guys. It’s fair to expect him to be the top guy with Kam Jones, Taelon Peter, and Quenton Jackson behind him.
Furphy averaged 21 PRA in 29 minutes per game in the Summer League last season. He followed that up by averaging 25.7 PRA in 33.4 minutes across 10 G-League games. Most importantly, the rookie flashed in the NBA, recording 15+ points and 6+ rebounds in four games.
The young forward loves the deep ball, which gives him incredible scoring upside. He also gives elite effort at all times, which is why he’s a better rebounder than many would expect. This is simply too low a total for how he can contribute.
Where to Play: Johnny Furphy higher than 20.5 PRA | 1.83x at Underdog
Ajay Mitchell Higher Than 15.5 Points
Truthfully, I’m not entirely sure how we keep getting this number. Mitchell is averaging 19.7 points in 26.1 minutes per game for Oklahoma City in the Summer League. He also averaged 14.7 FGA, 3.0 3PA, and 6.3 FTA per game.
Mitchell has beaten this number in each of his three games in the Summer League. He even posted 16 points while shooting 3-11 from the field. He’s topped out at 24 points.
We’re now moving from the Salt Lake City Summer League to the full NBA Summer League. There aren’t going to be any major changes for the Thunder, though. Mitchell will continue to work as their primary scorer, and he’s proven he can consistently beat this number in the Summer League.
Where to Play: Ajay Mitchell higher than 15.5 points | 1.83x at Underdog
