Each week, Props.com selects five intriguing player and/or team NBA betting props from a busy night of action. Then we subsequently do what we do best: Provide in-depth analysis that you can choose to use (or not use!) for wagering purposes.
Here are our five favorite props from Wednesday’s slate of nine NBA games.
Odds courtesy of DraftKings, and updated as of 1 p.m. ET on Nov. 3.
Portland Trail Blazers at Cleveland Cavaliers
The Prop: 55 combined first-quarter points
The Odds: Over -105/Under -115
The Cavaliers rank sixth in first-quarter scoring, averaging 29.6 points per game. The Blazers, in turn, rank just 24th at 24.1 points. Put those two averages together and they fall well short of tonight’s projected first-quarter total.
Further supporting the Under here: Portland has averaged 25 first-quarter points in two road games, while Cleveland has averaged 27 opening-quarter points in two home contests.
Also, inthe first two games of his team’s East Coast swing, Blazers point guard and scoring machine Damian Lillard shot just 12 of 40 from the field (30 percent), including 4 of 23 from beyond the arc.

New York Knicks: PG Kemba Walker
The Prop: 23.5 combined points/rebounds/assists (at Indiana)
The Odds: Over -120/Under +100
At first blush, this number seems a tad low, considering Walker is averaging 19.8 points per game for his career. But the short-term trepidation is real.
In his first season with the Knicks, Walker has already posted one game with just one assist; he failed to grab a single rebound in two contests; and he’s been held to 11 or fewer points three times.
Then again, in his last three matchups with the Pacers when he was in Boston, Walker averaged 37 points/rebounds/assists — and that includes a so-so effort in March 2020 (11 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists).
Minnesota Timberwolves: C Karl-Anthony Towns
The Prop: 10.5 rebounds (vs. L.A. Clippers)
The Odds: Over +110/Under -135
Can Towns follow up Monday’s 16-rebound effort against the Magic with another monster performance on the glass against the Clippers tonight at Target Center? History says yes.
Charting his last 37 games, Towns collected 11-plus rebounds 19 times. During this stretch, the University of Kentucky product tallied 11 or more boards in back-to-back outings on 12 different occasions.
Another sign pointing to a big rebounding night for Towns: The Clippers currently rank last in total rebounds allowed (53.2 per game). This plays into Los Angeles ranking 22nd in field-goal shooting (41.3 percent).

San Antonio Spurs
The Prop: Spurs +1 in the first half (vs. Dallas)
The Odds: Spurs -115/Mavericks -105
The Mavericks haven’t exactly gotten off to strong starts on the road, averaging 44.3 first-half points in three away games while compiling halftime deficits of seven, six, and seven points. Overall, Dallas is just 1-6 against the spread in the first half.
Conversely, the Spurs are 4-2-1 ATS in the first half, and they’re averaging 58.3 first-half points in three contests at home, where they took halftime leads against the Magic (61-49) and Lakers (62-61), but trailed the Bucks (56-52) at the break.
Also, earlier this month in Dallas, San Antonio led the Mavericks 49-47 at the half (before going on to lose 104-99).
Golden State Warriors: PG/SG Stephen Curry
The Prop: 5.5 three-pointers made (vs. Charlotte)
The Odds: Over -120/Under +100
Curry is off to a tremendous start, averaging 28.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists. He also has been prolific from long range when playing in front of Golden State’s fans, draining 8, 7 and 6 triples in three home games while shooting 43.8 percent beyond the arc.
From a historical standpoint, Curry has buried 29 of his last 57 three-point attempts against the Hornets — his hometown team while growing up in North Carolina — good for a staggering 50.8 percent. There’s good reason to believe that Curry will continue to shoot the lights out against Charlotte, which enters tonight ranked 22nd in three-pointers allowed (13.0 per game).
