The Monday NBA Odds menu serves up two of the league’s best — and hottest — teams. The one downside: They’re not facing one another.
The Boston Celtics, who blew out Minnesota on Sunday to complete an incredible climb from 11th place to first place in the Eastern Conference standings, will try to extend their six-game winning streak in Toronto. Boston will encounter a surging Raptors squad that needs to keep winning to remain above the NBA play-in tournament cut line.
Out West, the red-hot Grizzlies look to make it nine victories in their last 10 games — and five in a row — when they host the struggling, Steph Curry-less Warriors.

About Golden State: The Warriors’ struggles without star guard Steph Curry continued Sunday in Washington, where they fell 123-115 despite being a 7-point road chalk. Since March 16, when Curry went down with a foot sprain early in a home game against Boston, Golden State is 1-5 SU and ATS. Oddly enough, the one victory came Wednesday in Miami, where the Warriors took the court without Curry (foot), Klay Thompson and Draymond Green (both rest), yet won 118-104 as a 9.5-point underdog. Golden State is 3-9 SU/4-8 ATS in its last 12 as a visitor. Not only have the Warriors fallen four games behind second-place Memphis in the Western Conference standings with seven games to play, but they’re now just two games ahead of Dallas, three clear of Utah, and four ahead of Denver.

About Memphis: No Ja Morant? No problem for the Grizzlies, who continue to sport the look of a legit NBA Finals contender. Memphis has won eight of its last nine (6-3 ATS), including an ongoing four-game SU and ATS winning streak. The Grizzlies won those four games by point margins of 24, 12, 30 and 25 — and they did it all without Morant. The young phenom — who is averaging 27.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game — is out until early April with a knee injury. The Grizzlies, who hammered defending-champion Milwaukee 127-102 Saturday as a one-point favorite, have scored at least 122 points six times during their current 7-1 SU run. Also, since Jan. 17, Memphis is 11-1 SU/10-2 ATS at home, winning the last six in a row (5-1 ATS).
Injuries: Curry remains out for at least the next couple games. Additionally, shooting guard Damion Lee injured his right elbow in Sunday’s game against Washington and is questionable. … In addition to Morant, Memphis may be without two power forwards. Jaren Jackson Jr. (right thigh) and Brandon Clarke (left hip) are both questionable. Jackson and Clarke average a combined 26.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 3.4 blocks per game.

UPDATE 5:30 P.M. ET: On Sunday afternoon, Memphis hit DraftKing’s Monday NBA odds board as a 6.5-point chalk, and the line stretched to -10.5 by late Sunday night. Today, the Grizzlies have bounced between -10, -10.5 and -11, and they are currently at the -11 peak, with ticket count almost dead even, but money nearly 5/1 on Memphis. The total is down to 221 (Under -115) from a 225.5 opener, with 58% of tickets/63% of money on the Over.

About Boston: The Celtics pulled into a first-place tie with the Miami Heat atop the Eastern Conference standings after Sunday’s 134-112 rout of Minnesota as an 8-point home favorite. Boston has won six consecutive games (5-1 ATS), part of an ongoing 24-4 SU/18-10 ATS run since Jan. 23. During this 28-game stretch, the Celtics are 13-2 SU/10-5 ATS on the road, winning the last five in a row (4-1 ATS). Boston, which was in 11th place in the East as recently as Jan. 16, is now in a flat-footed tie with Miami, as both squads are 26-12 at home and 21-16 on the road. The Celtics own the tiebreaker with seven regular-season games remaining, but Milwaukee and Philadelphia (both 46-28) are a half-game back. In fact, the top six teams in the East are separated by just 4.5 games.
About Toronto: Like Boston, the Raptors have made a steady climb up the Eastern Conference ladder thanks to an 8-2 SU/ATS spurt. Most recently, Toronto posted blowout home victories over Cleveland (117-104 as a 5.5-point chalk on Thursday) and Indiana (131-91 as a 12-point favorite on Saturday). Having leap-frogged the Cavaliers into sixth place in the East, the Raptors no longer find themselves in NBA playoff play-in territory. That said, Toronto is just one game ahead of Cleveland (but also only one game behind fifth-place Chicago). The victories over the Cavaliers and Pacers to close out last week snapped the Raptors’ 1-4 SU/0-5 ATS slump at home. With Toronto favored Monday, it’s interesting to note that the squad is 19-6 ATS when laying seven points or less this season.
Injuries: Celtics center Al Horford (personal) missed Sunday’s game against Minnesota and is doubtful Monday. Fellow center Robert Williams is questionable after departing Sunday’s contest with a left knee sprain. And more important, this afternoon, the Celtics announced that Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown will both sit with knee issues. … Raptors shooting guard Gary Trent Jr. (toe) is questionable to return to the lineup after missing the three previous games.

UPDATE 5:30 P.M. ET: This number has seen huge movement due to injuries and rest situations for the Celtics (see above). Boston opened -3 Sunday afternoon at DraftKings, and by late Sunday night, the line had flipped all the way to Toronto -3. The Raptors reached -4.5 late this morning, then jumped straight to -7 en route to -8 on the Tatum/Brown news for the Celts. Still, ticket count is 3/1 Boston and money is a nearly even 50/50 split. The total opened at 220.5 and plunged to 209, with 81% of bets but just 56% of cash on the Over.
