Quality over quantity is the theme of Monday’s Best Bets. At least that’s the goal.

The NBA is taking the night off, so our red-hot NBA Props (15-5) will have to wait. Hey, we don’t make the schedule!

However, we hear there’s a pretty big game on the college hoops docket, with Kansas and North Carolina battling for all the gumbo in New Orleans.

We have one pick from that NCAA Basketball Championship Game and an NHL Prop to nibble on, so let’s dive into Monday’s Best Bets!

The bet: North Carolina-Kansas Over 151

From: Matt Perrault via The Bostonian Vs. The Book Podcast

The Bostonian vs. The Book crew pieced together another winning week (3-2) thanks to the underdog Grizzlies covering 7 points (and winning outright) against the Suns on Friday.

For Monday, Podcast host Matt Perrault looks to keep that momentum going, taking North Carolina-Kansas Over 151 in the National Championship Game.

“Both teams have the capability and the firepower to go to the Over,” Perrault said. “I like the pace [of this game].”

Podcast co-host Dave Sharapan was quick to give his stamp of approval on this bet.

“I think it plays out like the North Carolina-Duke game,” Sharapan said, referring to North Carolina’s 81-77 Final Four victory on Saturday. “Both of these teams want to win an Over game.”

Perrault also mentioned how neither team needs to be exceptional to go Over 151 total points. In other words, if North Carolina and Kansas play typical games, then there’s a good chance this game sails over the number.

If you’re looking to tail this best bet, you can find North Carolina-Kansas Over 151 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook.

The bet: Over 0.5 assists (at Los Angeles)
The odds: -112
Where to bet: FanDuel
From: BetPrep Prop of the Day via BetPrep.com

The BetPrep crew hit both Prop of the Day wagers on Saturday and Sunday, which is another reason to follow @BetProps on Instagram and/or TikTok.

With the NBA on hiatus Monday, the folks at BetPrep turn their attention to the NHL, betting Matthew Tkachuk of the Flames to go Over 0.5 assists.

Here’s the rationale for this BetPrep Best Bet:

  • Tkachuk has recorded 1+ assist in 6 of his last 7 games overall (85.71%).
  • Tkachuk has recorded 1+ assist in 7 of his last 8 games (87.5%) after a loss.
  • Tkachuk has recorded 1+ assist in 11 of his last 14 games (78.57%) against a team with a winning record.

The best place to bet this prop is FanDuel, where you can still grab Tkachuk Over 14.5 points at -112.
