It’s Friday! Spring is in the air (depending on where you live), March Madness is rolling along, and another installment of Best Bets is hot off the press. Life is good!

Thursday’s Best Bets suffered a couple of bad beats, but hey, that’s not going to keep us down.

These picks are still above water at 22-18-1 on the year, and we have one college basketball total and one NBA prop for Friday.

Let’s all send some positive vibes to Friday’s Best Bets so they don’t fall into the bad beat pit of despair once again.

Onto the picks!

The bet: Over 152.5
The odds: -110

From: Matt Perrault via The Bostonian Vs. The Book Podcast

It’s judgment day for Matt Perrault, co-host of The Bostonian Vs. The Book. Will he record another winning week? It all depends on Friday’s pick, as his current weekly record stands even at 2-2.

In his attempt to lock in another profitable weekly score, Perrault is going with … cue the drumroll … Alabama-Notre Dame Over 152.5 total points.

“Alabama has gone Over [the total] in six of its last seven,” Perrault said. “Nine in a row [to the Over] for Notre Dame.”

Dave Sharapan, co-host of the podcast, didn’t hesitate in his agreement.

“Bet it, bet it, bet it!” Sharapan said while nodding his head.

Alabama ranks 12th in the nation in possessions per game, and Notre Dame could fall into the Tide’s up-tempo style this evening. Expect plenty of points.

You can grab Alabama-Notre Dame Over 152.5 (-110) at PointsBet USA.

Perrault listed three other bets he likes during Friday’s Bostonian vs. The Book podcast — all of them coming from college basketball. You can listen to the replay on Youtube, Spotify, or Apple Podcasts.

NBA Prop: Chicago Bulls SG Zach LaVine

The bet: Over 3.5 assists (at Phoenix)
The odds: -150
Where to bet: BetMGM
From: BetPrep Prop of the Day via BetPrep.com

On Thursday, the BetPrep crew dropped its Best Bet selection of Cory Joseph Under 9.5 points. After the bet was released, the Pistons ruled out point guard Cade Cunningham. As a result, Joseph enjoyed more minutes and usage en route to 13 points. Sometimes luck just isn’t on your side.

The folks at BetPrep look to bounce back on Friday by selecting Bulls guard Zach LaVine Over 3.5 assists.

Here’s the rationale behind this BetPrep Best Bet:

  • LaVine has recorded four-plus assists in 10 straight games against teams with a winning record.
  • LaVine has produced four-plus assists in seven of his last eight games.
  • Over that eight-game span, LaVine is averaging five assists per contest.
  • In his only game against the Suns this season (Feb. 7), LaVine racked up eight assists.

In fact, BetPrep believes LaVine’s assist number should be set at 4.5. Granted, at 3.5, the Over is juiced, but it’s still worth it.

You can find LaVine Over 3.5 assists (-150) at BetMGM.
