The Champions League Final odds suggest fans will witness a tight game between Liverpool and Real Madrid. What else would you expect from these two global powerhouses?
These two sides are no strangers to facing each other on the big stage. Liverpool and Real Madrid met in the 2018 Champions League Final, and Real ended up hoisting the trophy. Then last year, the two sides met in the Champions League quarterfinal. Real Madrid once again emerged victorious with a 3-1 triumph on a two-leg aggregate.
Said Mo Salah, Liverpool’s superstar forward: “We have a score to settle.”
Will Salah and Liverpool get that revenge? Oddsmakers suggest that will be the case. Then again, how do you pass up big plus-money with a Real Madrid side aiming for its fifth Champions League Trophy in nine years?

Liverpool Vs Real Madrid

TV: CBS
Location: Stade de France in Paris, France
Did you know: Real Madrid has dominated the Champions League over the past decade, claiming four titles in the past eight years. Going back to 1998, Real Madrid has made it to the Champions League Final eight times, lifting the trophy at the end of every match.
About Liverpool
Recent form: Don’t let the introduction fool you. Yes, Real Madrid knocked Liverpool out of the Champions League two of the last four years. However, the Reds have claimed their fair share of trophies in recent times — both domestic and international. That includes a Champions League title in 2018-19 over Tottenham. Speaking to this current year, Liverpool claimed the Carabao Cup and FA Cup in England. The Reds finished second in the Premier League to Manchester City. Looking across all competitions, Liverpool has not lost in 18 straight matches. That includes victories over elite clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester City.
Path to the Final: Liverpool is objectively one of the best clubs in the world. That was quite apparent during its relatively straightforward path to the Champions League final. Or perhaps the Reds just made it look easy? Liverpool advanced out of the group stage after just four games. Next was a 2-1 aggregate over Inter Milan in the knockout stage, then a 6-4 clearing of Benfica. Most expected Liverpool to take on Bayern Munich in the next phase, but Villarreal upset the German side. Liverpool made sure there wouldn’t be a second upset, rolling to a 5-2 aggregate over Villarreal to land a spot in the Champions League Final.
Key injuries: Thiago Alcantara picked up an Achilles injury in the Premier League finale. The midfielder is questionable for Saturday’s title match.
About Real Madrid
Recent form: Real Madrid dominated LaLiga this year, finishing 13 points ahead of second-place FC Barcelona for the title. Because Real was early to clinch first place in LaLiga, its recent results aren’t an accurate reflection of its talent. Real Madrid was able to rest key players down the stretch of its domestic schedule, leading to a pair of lackluster draws to finish the season. As such, it’s safe to say Real Madrid is the more rested side coming into this Champions League Final, as Liverpool had to fight for a Premier League Championship to the bitter end.
Path to the Final: Real Madrid’s road to the Champions League Final was extremely difficult and unlikely at times. Real made it out of the group stage with relative ease, but needed a miraculous comeback over Paris-St. Germain to advance in the knockout phase. After beating Chelsea in the round of eight, Real Madrid pulled the rabbit out of the hat once again versus Manchester City. Two stoppage-time goals were enough for Real Madrid to punch its ticket to the final. For those keeping score, that’s three straight victories over UEFA top 10 clubs for Real Madrid.
Key injuries: A leg injury kept defender David Alaba out of the final LaLiga match for Real Madrid, but he’s expected to be available on Saturday.

Champions League Final Predictions
Taking Real Madrid at plus money is an appealing proposition. It’s understandable that most of the money and betting tickets are going that way. However, Liverpool has more weapons across the board. The Reds are one of the most prolific scoring teams in the world, and that likely will be the difference Saturday.
Mo Salah has been run ragged for Liverpool in 2021-22, having to shoulder an oversized amount of his team’s workload. But that doesn’t mean he will enter Saturday’s match dead on his feet. In fact, Salah has only seen the field for 30 minutes in about two weeks’ time. He should be fresh and ready to exact his revenge on Real Madrid.
Liverpool is objectively the better side in this match. The line has moved in favor of Reds bettors, so laying the -160 price is easier to swallow.
The Pick: Liverpool to lift the trophy (-160)
