The Dallas Cowboys are headed to Arrowhead on Sunday afternoon to take on the reemerging Kansas City Chiefs. Both teams have momentum following big wins last Sunday. This is the game of the week in the NFL, and we could see a shootout, as implied by the 55 point total. Will Ezekiel Elliott get in on that action? This installment of the NFL Player Props series aims to answer that question.

Dallas Cowboys: Ezekiel Elliott
The Prop: Ezekiel Elliott Rushing Yards @ Kansas City Chiefs
The Odds: Over 76.5 (-110)/Under 76.5 (-110)
Ezekiel Elliott has had an up-and-down season this year, but there have been more highs than lows for Elliott and the Cowboys, and I expect that to continue on Sunday, at least offensively.
The Matchup
The Chiefs have been struggling to click on all cylinders this season, but they seem to be playing a bit better and with much more confidence over the last few weeks. This will be the ultimate task for the Chiefs’ defense, playing a team absolutely loaded with weapons.

The Chiefs run defense has struggled all season, and Zeke and this Cowboys offensive line should have their way with this defense on Sunday. The Chiefs have also had issues with the deep passing game, and I think that we could see them protect against this even more on Sunday against this offense, which would lead to an even better matchup.
The Volume
Ezekiel Elliott is in a bit of a timeshare with the younger Tony Pollard, but we all know that Zeke is the go-to guy in this backfield, and he will get the lion’s share of touches in a close game. You could be ever-so-slightly concerned that the return of Michael Gallup will limit the two-RB sets out of the Cowboys, but that isn’t a huge deal to me in this matchup.
The Prediction
Zeke has struggled to hit the over on this prop this season, hitting the over just 3 of the nine games this season. However, the reason this line is so high is the matchup, and I think that the matchup is a huge deal here. Zeke should see ample amounts of 7-yard carries, and I love the matchup so much that I want the over here.
