Red Sox vs. Blue Jays Predictions

Toronto starting pitcher Kevin Gausman has been sensational this season. In his most recent start, he tossed seven scoreless innings against the Seattle Mariners, recording a career-high 13 strikeouts. In fact, Gausman has piled up 11+ strikeouts in three of his last four games.

Boston RHP Brayan Bello hasn’t shared that type of success, allowing 18 hits and nine earned runs across 12.1 innings in his first three appearances of the year.

While Toronto has the edge in the starting pitcher matchup, we can’t overlook the fact that Boston’s offense is heating up with six or more runs in five straight games.

Gausman is the type of pitcher who can end that run, and the pitching conditions at Fenway Park should be more favorable than usual tonight with temps around 45-50 degrees and the wind blowing in from left field.

Even though Bello’s ERA is nothing to write home about, he was better in his last start, allowing just one earned run with six strikeouts over five innings against the Cleveland Guardians.

The previous three games of this series have all gone over the total, but this one is shaping up for a nice bet on the under.
