If you missed last week’s installment of Props Golf, then your wallet probably isn’t as full as it should be. Podcast host Dubbs Anderson told listeners to back Jon Rahm to win the Mexico Championship, and the former No. 1 player in the world did just that — cashing a hefty +475 ticket.
Before your “FOMO” sets in, take comfort in the fact that Dubbs is back with another episode of Props Golf, breaking down the PGA Tour odds and best bets for this week’s Wells Fargo Championship. The four-day event, which usually takes place in North Carolina, has shifted to Potomac, Maryland, this year. That’s an important distinction that Dubbs referenced multiple times during his podcast (and will be reiterated here).
The following are edited excerpts of Anderson’s analysis from the latest episode of Props Golf, which he hosts twice weekly. Listen to the full episode for more PGA Tour best bets and wagering tips.
Rory McIlroy Outright Winner +850
Best odds available: +850 at Caesars Sportsbook
Dubbs’ Take: I think Rory McIlroy is back, and we are getting him at +850.
What McIlroy did on Sunday at The Masters gives him all the confidence in the world. That’s all Rory needs. We know he has the talent and ability, but it’s all between the ears with him. I believe he’ll feed off that momentum he created in The Masters.
McIlroy returns to the Wells Fargo Championship as the defending champion. Sure, last year’s tournament was played at a different course, but he still has good vibes coming into this one. It doesn’t hurt that Rory is fourth in strokes gained off the tee and 35th in strokes gained on approach.
In six PGA events this season, McIlroy has finished top 10 three times. What am I missing? It’s not [the best price], but I have to have a slice of Rory McIlroy at +850.
McIlroy’s +850 outright winner odds are available at Caesars Sportsbook. You’ll want the better price there compared with +750 on FanDuel and DraftKings.
Keegan Bradley Outright Winner (+3500)
Best odds available: +3500 at Caesars Sportsbook
Dubbs’ Take: This guy looks as awkward as anything. He looks like Kramer (from Seinfeld) when he’s hovered over the golf ball. However, the stats don’t lie. This guy is a four-time winner on the PGA Tour and a flat-out gamer when he finds a groove.
Bradley is 29th in strokes gained off the tee and 24th in strokes gained on approach. The stats suggest he’s not great with a putter, but who cares? Putting is the most volatile part of any PGA Tour golfer’s game. We just need a peak week from his putter, and he’ll find himself in a solid position on Sunday’s leaderboard.
Rory McIlroy is the favorite this weekend, but @sportsbkconsig wants @mrdubbsie to give him the bombs in the Wells Fargo. Look for the angry little Englishman, on @Bostonvsthebook with @sportstalkmatt.

The form is definitely there, as Bradley has racked up three top 10 performances in his last five starts. He’s a very intense individual, but we like that. In fact, we love the intensity here at Props Golf!
Go ahead and look toward Keegan Bradley as a more-than-fine value at 35/1 at Caesars Sportsbook. That payout tops Bradley’s odds at both FanDuel (34/1) and DraftKings (28/1).
Max Homa Top 40 Finish (+115)
Best odds available: +115 at FanDuel Sportsbook
Dubb’s Take: This is where I live every week: In the top 40 market. And this week, I like Max Homa at +115 odds for a top 40 finish.
What am I missing? Homa is 28-1 on the outright market, but don’t sleep on him [to win the whole tournament]. He is one of the PGA Tour’s most underrated golfers.
Everyone thinks he’s this funny guy on Twitter, but no — he’s a bad man on the golf course. There’s no weakness to his game. He had two PGA Tour wins in 2021, claiming the Fortinet Championship in September and the Genesis Invitational in February. He also won the Wells Fargo Championship in May 2019, although — again — this year’s tournament will be held at a different course.
Either way, people forget that Homa is a serious golfer who can make a real push up the leaderboard. Let’s take him for a top 40 finish at +115 at FanDuel Sportsbook. That’s much better value that his -165 price at DraftKings.
