Minnesota Timberwolves: C Karl-Anthony Towns
The prop: 21.5 points
The odds: Over -130/Under +105
Here’s a quote from Karl-Anthony Towns after Minnesota’s last game, a 31-point loss to Philadelphia on Friday: “Wow this stat sheet looks [expletive] awful.”
In other (cleaner) words, the Timberwolves are looking to bounce back after an embarrassing home loss to Joel Embiid, James Harden, and the new-look 76ers. Monday’s road matchup against a beat-up Cavaliers team creates an opportunity to make that happen.
Towns is the self-proclaimed best shooting big man in NBA history. The former top overall pick makes a decent argument while holding a 40% shooting clip from beyond the arc in seven professional seasons. Towns has the hot hand at the moment as well, hitting 22 or more points in 11 of his last 14 outings. In case you were wondering, foul trouble served as the culprit in two of those misses.
As an added bonus, the Cavaliers rank below average in defensive efficiency to the center position over the last 10 games. Towns’ teammate, Anthony Edwards, is ice cold right now (more on that later), meaning the big man could shoulder more offense for the Wolves.
Either way, the stat sheet should not look *bleeping* awful for Towns tonight. The Over looks tantalizing even at the current -130 price.

Memphis Grizzlies: PG Ja Morant
The prop: 6.5 rebounds
The odds: Over +120/Under -130
Credit goes to BetPrep Analyst Brad Feinberg (@bradsbestbets) for finding this one.
Rebounds can be somewhat random, especially when you’re trying to predict boards for a 6’3” guard who benefits from hard clanks off the iron to pad his rebound numbers. However, there are some interesting trends to the Under for Morant’s rebounding number.
- Morant has recorded less than seven rebounds in eight of his last 10 games.
- In two games vs. San Antonio this season, Morant has gone Under 6.5 rebounds in both.
- Morant has notched seven or more boards in 15 of 48 games this season (31%).
In case you need a more straightforward assessment: All those bullet points signal Under 6.5 rebounds.
It’s hard to be mad at the -130 juice when considering this Under bet has won in 69% of Morant’s games this season.
Minnesota Timberwolves: SG Anthony Edwards
The prop: 19.5 points
The odds: Over -120/Under -105
What’s cooler than being cool? Ice cold! … and Anthony Edwards.
The second-year guard has been electric for most of the season, but Edwards finds himself in an undeniable rut at the moment. He has gone Under this 19.5 point mark in each of his last four games, averaging just 8.75 points through that span. Ouch!
Edwards is the type of player who feeds off confidence, and he clearly doesn’t have it at the moment. He’s shooting just 9-of-42 from the field across that four-game stretch. That’s only 21%. Sure, the shooting will eventually normalize closer to his season average, but something is off with Edwards at the moment.
There’s skepticism surrounding Edwards’ resurgence in this matchup. His opponent, Cleveland, ranks eighth in defensive efficiency to opposing backcourts. In his lone meeting with the Cavaliers (Dec. 10), Edwards mustered just 13 points in 33 minutes of floor time. While considering his recent struggles, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a repeat (down) performance this evening.
