Tulane vs. UCF Predictions

Tulane has been a surprise team this season. Most college football enthusiasts expected some form of regression as the season went along, but the Green Wave just keep winning. That includes a pair of key victories over SMU (59-24) and Cincinnati (27-24) in the last two weeks.

On the other hand, UCF has looked strong throughout the season. However, the Golden Knights have come out flat in a couple of spots as well. They lost 13-34 at East Carolina on Oct. 22, and then Navy got the best of them 17-14 on Nov. 19.

UCF won at Tulane by a score of 38-31 less than a month ago. The Golden Knights got out to a 24-14 lead at halftime, but Tulane nearly made a late comeback. UCF ran the ball extremely well in that game, particularly QB John Rhys Plumlee, who had 18 carries for 176 yards and two rushing touchdowns. His rushing upside will likely be a key to the game this time around as well.

These are two evenly-matched sides in a true coin flip game. For that reason, we’ll take UCF getting 3.5 points in a contest that should be close throughout.
