As the calendar flips to November, the NHL season is truly in full swing. With nine games on the schedule — and surprisingly well spaced out so we can watch more of the action — there are plenty of NHL betting opportunities Tuesday. And that’s especially true for NHL prop wagering.

Philadelphia Flyers
The Prop: 3.5 Total Team Goals (vs. Phoenix)
The Odds: Over +115/Under -145
The Coyotes (0-8-1) arrive in Philly still searching for their first victory of the season, but at least their defense has tightened up. After surrendering five or more goals in five of its first seven games, Arizona allowed a pair each to the Capitals on Friday (2-0 loss) and Panthers on Sunday (2-1 loss).
Philadelphia averages 28.3 shots per game (28th in the league) but its 3.57 goals per game ranks sixth. And while the Flyers are also tied with the Nashville Predators and New York Islanders with a league-low 49 high-danger chances this season in 5-on-5 action, they still rank 14th in high-danger goals (eight).
This indicates that the Flyers’ goal total is a product of poor opponents’ goaltending and a massive overperformance relative to their expected goal count (17 actual 5-on-5 goals scored vs. a league-low 11.75 expected 5-on-5 goals).
If the Coyotes stay out of the penalty box and avoid putting the league’s worst penalty kill (58.6%) on the ice, they should be able to hold Philadelphia under this goal total and perhaps even steal a win. Note, though, that the Flyers have tallied four or more goals in three of their first four home games (but scored a total of two goals in their last two contests at Vancouver and Calgary).
Minnesota Wild: LW Kirill Kaprizov
The Prop: Score Anytime Goal (vs. Ottawa)
The Odds: +120
Kirill Kaprizov, the 2021 Calder Trophy winner as the league’s top rookie, has yet to score a goal this season despite leading the Wild with 26 shots. He’s also the team leader in assists (six) and is a constant threat to put the puck in the net, regardless of his early-season slump.

Kaprizov ranks second among Wild forwards in individual Corsi For (43 iCF) and has 1.59 individual expected goals for (ixG). Playing against an Ottawa Senators team that lost 5-1 to the last-place Chicago Blackhawks on Monday, expect plenty of opportunities for Kaprizov to finally tally his first goal of the season in this one.
Dallas Stars
The Prop: 2.5 Total Team Goals (at Winnipeg)
The Odds: Over -110/Under -120
Similar to the Flyers, the Stars’ record (3-4-1) does not accurately reflect the team’s performance. Braden Holtby (2.40 goals-against average) has been solid in net, but the Stars are averaging just 1.75 goals (31st) and 30.6 shots per game (20th).
Winnipeg netminder Connor Hellebuyck, the 2020 Vezina Trophy winner, has struggled this season but has a career 9-5-2 record against Dallas with a 2.44 GAA and a .923 save percentage. Back home after a three-game California road trip that saw them hold the Ducks (3), Kings (2), and Sharks (2) to just seven total goals, the Jets should win here and keep Dallas’ struggling offense in check.
New York Rangers: LW Chris Kreider
The Prop: Score Anytime Goal (at Vancouver)
The Odds: +180
The odds here are a bit of a surprise, because they are comparable to Vancouver’s Elias Pettersson and Rangers teammate Artemi Panarin (both +190). Pettersson and Panarin each have one goal total this season; Kreider has seven through nine games.

Kreider also leads the Rangers in shots (29) and power-play time on ice (37:17). Right now, he’s New York’s biggest threat to score, even though Panarin has consistently put up better numbers since joining the Rangers in the 2019-20 season.
Buffalo Sabres At San Jose Sharks
The Prop: Goal in the First 10 Minutes
The Odds: Yes -130/No +100
Buffalo and San Jose have combined for ten first-period goals in 14 total games this season. They’ve also combined to allow 13 in that span. And when looking at the first-period over/under stats this season, the Sabres are dead even at 4-4 (four Unders/four Overs), but the Sharks are 2-6.
Both teams are outside the Top 10 in goals scored per game this season and rank in the Top 10 in fewest goals allowed (Buffalo at 2.13 goals per game, San Jose at 2.38).
The Under looks like a strong play here.
