Tennessee vs. FAU Predictions

We’re about to see a defensive clinic put on by both of these teams in this game. Although both teams boast solid offenses, Tennessee ranks first in KenPom’s adjusted defensive efficiency metric. FAU also ranks 35th in that metric.

Both teams are going to look to shoot from deep, but this isn’t a game where that’s going to be available. FAU tends to run their opponents off of the line, and Tennessee boasts the best three-point defense in the NCAA.

Overall, you have to be able to draw fouls to score on Tennessee, and that isn’t something FAU does well. On the other side, the Volunteers rely on drawing fouls, and the Owls aren’t a team that is willing to foul their opponents often.

I also believe that Tennessee is going to be able to dictate this pace much more than FAU, meaning we could see another game finish in the 50s for them.

The Pick: Florida Atlantic/Tennessee under 130.5 points | -106 at FanDuel Sportsbook
