Top 3 NFL Player Prop Bets For Week 2

Betting NFL Player Props is a fun way to get in on the action, and early in the season, they can be a great thing to take advantage of. In Week 2, we want to target as many props as we can that just do not align with what we now know about these teams.

Tyler Higbee OVER 3.5 Receptions

Higbee has been sharing the Rams offense for the past few years with Gerald Everett. Even during that time, he has shown flashes of popping as an elite tight end. Now, Higbee played every single snap in week 1, a game where the Rams were leading and had only 52 total offensive plays. These are both net negatives for Higbee, but he still had five catches on six targets.

This prop is this low because Higbee has only gone over this number 7 times in his last 18 games, but those 18 games don’t represent his current situation. Last year, Higbee played one game with no Everett, and he had five targets and five catches in a game that the Rams won handily. I expect this number to be higher in a few weeks, and it’s just time to ride it on the way up.

Cole Beasley OVER 4.5 Receptions

Beasley is in the exact same role as last season, and it appears that the Bills may want to throw it even more than we expected them to this season. Beasley has gone over this number in six of his last 10 games, and his 13 targets last week show that he is in for another big workload this season.

Beasley is someone that can be a bit boring when we talk about betting the over or in fantasy sports, but his consistent production and usage are something to take advantage of here. I expect Beasley to see 8 to 10 targets in this one and cruise over the line.

Ezekiel Elliott OVER 68.5 Rushing Yards

This one is a bit scary based on the raw pass volume of the Cowboys in Week 1, but I don’t expect this to truly limit Zeke’s carries in the long term. There was a report that Dak continuously opted out of running plays in Week 1. He supposedly would get to the LOS and see the defensive scheme was daring them to pass. They just leaned into that plan and did just that, but I don’t expect the Chargers to do the same.

We saw Antonio Gibson run for 90 yards for the Chargers in Week 1, and I think this is a reasonable number for Zeke in this game. While a lot of people were bashing Zeke, he just had no room in that Thursday night game, and on his best run of the game, he beat a 4.4 linebacker to the edge without a problem, showing he is still an elite athlete, regardless of the stats from game one.

I expect Zeke to get fed early and often in this game to keep Joey Bosa away from Dak when possible and that should result in an over for Zeke here.
