Pro Bowl odds are practically an afterthought in the midst of Super Bowl 56 hype, and rightly so. The annual All-Star exhibition between the AFC and NFC, sandwiched between conference championship weekend and the Big Game, is but a blip on the sports betting radar.
But this year, the Pro Bowl takes place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. So that gives Sunday’s contest a little higher betting profile than it might otherwise have — even if the game often takes the word “exhibition” to a whole new level.
Multiple oddsmakers provided some insight on 2022 Pro Bowl odds and action. Check back up until kickoff for more updates.

Pro Bowl Betting: AFC vs NFC
UPDATE 2:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Shortly before kickoff, the AFC is a 2-point chalk and is taking 56% of spread tickets/68% of spread cash at WynnBet. The total sits at 64.5 on two-way action, with 52% of tickets on the Over, and money running dead even.
UPDATE 1 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Two hours ahead of kickoff, the AFC is up to a 2-point favorite at DraftKings. After opening at AFC -1 early Friday, the line advanced a full point today, to -1.5 early this morning and then -2 late this morning. The AFC is taking 70% of spread tickets and 74% of spread dollars. Likewise, the total is on the move from its 62.5 opener, jumping 2 points over the course of this morning to 64.5. The Over is landing 74% of tickets/69% of money.
UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: BetMGM Nevada opened this contest a pick ’em, probably as it should be. The line has twice toggled to AFC -1, where it sits now.
“Ticket count is just slightly more on the AFC, and money is about 3/1 on the AFC,” Madayag said. That’s not too surprising, with Vegas now the home of the Raiders, and the AFC on a 4-0 SU and ATS run in this contest.
Equally unsurprising: Oddsmakers and bettors are expecting a ton of points. Last year’s Pro Bowl was canceled due to the pandemic, but the 2019-20 Pro Bowl featured 71 points, soaring beyond the 55-point total in a 38-33 AFC win. That ended a three-year stretch of shockingly (for the Pro Bowl, anyway) low-scoring affairs: 33 points in 2016-17 (AFC 20-13); 47 points in 2017-18 (AFC 24-23); and another dud of 33 points in 2018-19 (AFC 26-7).
BetMGM Nevada opened the total at 62.5, and as of this afternoon, that number hasn’t budged. But it probably will.
“Ticket count is about 3/1 on the Over, and money is about 5/1 on the Over,” Madayag said, while acknowledging that action was slow. “It should pick up a lot more Sunday. But [bettors] do like the Over, hoping for something exciting to watch.”
The game has undergone several rule changes, and among the most interesting this year is that there will be no kickoffs.
