Just how mainstream has sports betting become in recent years? Every time you flip on the TV, change a radio station, click on a website, or check social media, somebody somewhere is giving unsolicited wagering advice.
Well, now it’s our turn — but with a twist.
The Props.com content team will offer up our favorite plays of the day, be it on the point spread, total, or prop selections. And we’ll present it all in an easy-to-find, easy-to-read aggregated package.
Looking for our top NHL and NBA prop bets of the day? Our favorite college basketball wager from the day’s marquee games? The top picks from our Bostonian vs. The Book crew? You’ll find all of it right here.
The big difference between us and a lot of the “experts” who fire betting opinions at you from all corners of the multimedia universe? We don’t pretend to be fortune tellers who have tomorrow’s results today. So you won’t ever see any mentions of “lead-pipe, stone-cold locks” or “biggest bet of my life.” And we certainly will never advise you to wager anything more than what you’d drop on a family dinner at Chili’s.
We’re just having a little fun here, and hope you do, too. Which is to say: Don’t beat us over the head when we have a rough day. Because we will. And probably more often than not!

From: Matt Perrault via The Bostonian Vs. The Book Podcast
Matt was correct in his NHL Over/Under bet yesterday, but he’s looking to college hoops for his top pick on Wednesday. LSU +5.5 is the play at Arkansas.
“This is an Arkansas fade after the [big] win over Kentucky,” Perrault said. “I think LSU is playing for more here. They get their point guard back as well.”
Dave Sharapan, co-host of The Bostonian vs. The Book, agreed with this bet.
“I’ll bet it with you,” Sharapan said. “Arkansas is coming off that gigantic win. [This number] seems too high.”
“It’s a sell-high on Arkansas,” Perrault added. “5.5 points is just too heavy … LSU can win this game outright. They probably won’t but I think this ends up Arkansas by 3.”

NBA Prop: 76ers PG/SG James Harden
The bet: Over 42.5 points/rebounds/assists (vs. NY Knicks)
The odds: -120
Where to bet: DraftKings Sportsbook or Underdog Fantasy
From: Jay Clemons via NBA Props Wednesday
Here’s what Clemons had to say about this prop in his Wednesday NBA Props article:
Harden’s first week with the championship-chasing Sixers quickly became the stuff of legend.
In two road matchups against the Timberwolves and Knicks, the recently acquired Harden cumulatively totaled 56 points, 18 rebounds, and 28 assists. For good measure, he had five steals versus New York on Sunday.
The average points/rebounds/assists production in the two outings: 51, well above tonight’s total.
Is Harden a lock to topple this prop tonight in his home debut with Philly, which is once again facing the free-falling Knicks (3-15 since Jan. 17)? All signs point to “absolutely.” After all, New York’s scuffling defense has yielded an average of 119.1 points over its last 10 games. Meanwhile, in two games with Harden in the lineup, Philadelphia has put up 133 and 125 points.
What’s more, since arriving in Philly — and returning from an eight-game injury absence — Harden is shooting 57.6 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from beyond the arc, plus he’s 18-for-19 from the free-throw line. Finally, in his only game against the Knicks this season when he was still wearing a Nets uniform (Nov. 30), Harden produced this stat line: 34 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists.
Clemons has four other NBA props to consider on Wednesday, including two involving De’Aaron Fox and Nikola Jokic.
NBA Prop: Kings SF/PF Harrison Barnes
The bet: Over 15.5 Points (at New Orleans)
The odds: -120
Where to bet: DraftKings Sportsbook
From: BetPrep Prop of the Day via BetPrep.com
Saddiq Bey couldn’t make it happen for the BetPrep Prop of the Day on Tuesday. We’ll look to bounce back with Harrison Barnes Over 15.5 points against the Pelicans.
Here are some factors supporting this wager:
- Barnes has scored at least 16 points in nine of his last 11 games. That’s an 81 percent hit rate.
- Barnes has scored at least 16 points in six of his last seven when Sacramento is an underdog (like tonight).
- Barnes has scored at least 16 points in five of his last six road games (at New Orleans tonight).
- His opponent, the Pelicans, have allowed the most points and field goals made to the small forward position.
Barnes is averaging 17.2 points per contest this season. The addition of Domantas Sabonis hasn’t deterred him either, as Barnes has racked up 16-plus points in five of seven alongside his newly acquired teammate.
