Surprise, surprise: Jonathan Taylor led all running backs in Week 15 with 170 rushing yards. Craig Reynolds, Jeffrey Wilson, D’Onta Foreman, and Duke Johnson all went over 100 yards as well. The four of them had previously combined for a single 100-yard game this season. Anything can happen in 2021, and especially as we begin the three-week final sprint to the upcoming postseason. Let’s take a look at the best NFL player props for running backs in Week 16.

Pick your cliché.

Ride the hot hand. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Or the betting cliché that most fits Jonathan Taylor, your ace in the hole.

He has been all aces since October, going over 100 yards in seven of nine games, and he’s averaged 132 yards per game over that stretch. Needless to say, if you’ve been betting the over on Taylor, you’ve been raking it in.

As yet another cliché says, dance with the one that brought you. Taylor brought you to this point, so keep dancing with him. When placing your prop bets this week, hammer the OVER on Taylor.

Dalvin Cook Vs. Los Angeles Rams

The Prop: Dalvin Cook Rushing Yards
The Odds: Over 96.5 yards (-114)/Under 96.5 yards (-116)

As Kirk Cousins takes a few steps back from his fantastic season, Dalvin Cook is stepping forward. Two weeks ago he exploded for 205 yards against the Steelers, and just hours before the game we weren’t even sure he was going to play.

This past Monday he ran for 89 yards against a good Chicago run defense, and more importantly for judging where he stands in the pecking order, he got 28 carries. He had 27 carries the week before. His recent injury status doesn’t seem like an issue at this point.

Cook is great, and the Vikings are riding their former Pro Bowler down the stretch as they battle for a wild card spot. The Rams are good against the run, but this week expect another big game from Cook. Bet the OVER.

*UPDATE: Dalvin Cook has landed on the COVID-19 list and he will miss this week’s game.

Javonte Williams Vs. Las Vegas Raiders

The Prop: Javonte Williams Rushing Yards
The Odds: Over 55.5 yards (-110)/Under 55.5 yards (-120)

At his current pace, running back Javonte Williams is going to break 1,000 yards for the season, and with teammate Melvin Gordon, he could be a part of the Broncos’ first-ever 1,000-yard rushing duo.

Williams rushed for 72 yards last week, 73 the week before that, and 102 yards in Week 13. He also rushed for 111 yards when the Broncos beat the Cowboys.

Nick Chubb just rushed for 91 yards against the Raiders on Monday. Antonio Gibson rushed for 88 yards at Las Vegas in Week 13. Joe Mixon went for 123 in Week 11, and Devontae Booker ran for 99 yards in Week 9. The Raiders aren’t slowing down anyone in the running game these days.

In Week 16, Broncos rookie Javonte Williams easily goes OVER 55 yards.
