Heat vs. Knicks Predictions

Jimmy Butler tweaked his ankle in Game 1, but that was nearly a week ago. There’s optimism that Butler will play in Game 3, barring a setback. That’s good news for a Miami team that has covered the spread in five straight games.

In fact, the Heat have covered the spread in six of seven playoff games up to this point. They have also gone over the total in six of seven playoff games. The lone miss was Game 1 against New York, which finished one point short of the 210 total. The over is also 10-1 in the last 11 Miami home games.

While Butler is hardly 100% healthy for this game, we need to keep in mind that Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle are playing through their own ailments.

Neither popped up on the injury report ahead of Game 3, but both are playing through ankle issues.

Even though New York came through with a home win in Game 2, it was close despite the Heat not playing with Butler. Getting him back in the mix while drawing energy from their home crowd should be enough for Miami to win, cover, and jump out to a 2-1 series lead.
