Can Anthony Richardson Regain Momentum?
After that first big win against Utah, fans got on the Anthony Richardson hype train. As it turns out, that may have been premature. Kentucky was able to shut him down, and then he didn’t factor much into the win against South Florida. So where does he go from here?
You’re starting to see Richardson take too much time in the pocket and not looking off defenders. The USF secondary could read him well and jumped a few of his passes.

Looking at the team overall, they’re off to a great start in the Billy Napier era. The offensive line has been outstanding, pushing Florida to a 212 rushing yard average per contest. The Gators are also playing disciplined with few penalties and haven’t turned over the ball much. There’s plenty to be excited about.
Tennessee’s Talented Offense
Football matters once again in Knoxville. The Volunteers are back, and they’ve already been battle tested with an overtime win at Pittsburgh.
The QB/WR/RB tandem of Hendon Hooker, Cedric Tillman, and Jaylon Knight could be the best in the SEC. Some may even say that group is top 10 in the country.

Tennessee played in several shootouts last year, but the defense is looking better. The Volunteers forced Pitt to abandon their primary plan of attack: the run game. That ultimately led Tennessee to a crucial road victory to give them plenty of momentum heading into Saturday’s rivalry against Florida.
Florida vs. Tennessee Predictions
If Anthony Richardson wants to keep his stock from falling, he needs to make a big impact on this game. The Vols have looked great upfront so far, and as good as the run game has been, they may get some pushback.
The Florida defense is still their weakest point. They were torched by the South Florida ground game, and so far, they’re last in the SEC in third-down efficiency.
It will take a lot of points for the Gators to stay in the game, and it isn’t happening against this veteran squad on the road. The book is out on Richardson, and the Vols have what it takes to slow him down and control this game.
