NFL Props: Target Saints Offense Vs Jets Defense In Week 14

Week 14 is here! We’re running out of full NFL Sundays, so it’s imperative we make the most of it with well-thought-out NFL props.

A defense that consistently is worthy of targeting is the New York Jets, particularly their struggles against running backs.

Whether it’s on the ground or through the air, the Jets let up a ton of yards to the RB position, along with touchdowns.

The New Orleans Saints will look to snap their five-game losing streak when they head to the Meadowlands on Sunday. Let’s dig into just how bad New York has been and which New Orleans Saints players stand to benefit.

Spoiler alert, this man is expected to return on Sunday:

The Jets Defensive Woes

New York cannot guard running backs, with opposing runners routinely hitting their prop overs all season.

The Jets allow the third-most rushing yards per game to the position, at 117.6 per game. They also seriously struggle in the passing game, allowing RBs to catch 7.1 balls per game (third-most) and average 62.75 receiving yards (second-most).

No team allows more touchdowns to the position than the Jets 1.83 per game. It’s been a rough year for New York all over the place, but their inability to slow down whoever lines up in the backfield has forced this defense to remain on the field time and time again.

Alvin Kamara: Set To Return

It’s a perfect time for Saints running back Alvin Kamara to return to the lineup, expected to return after missing the last month of action.

Kamara should see his normal workload, which is at an elite level. Kamara saw 16+ carries in six of his eight games this season, four times seeing 20 or more.

Aiding that prediction is that backup running back Mark Ingram is now out this weekend:

Beyond Kamara’s rushing numbers, he also averaged 5.5 targets per game.

There’s a reason this offense has stalled and lost five straight games; it’s the lack of their best weapon in the mix.

As we wait for official prop lines to be released later this week, you can navigate over to Kamara’s BetPrep page to see where the team projects his various lines and the trends that go along with it.

I expect a big game from Kamara, and he’s a solid bet to find the end zone in Week 14.
