A couple of weeks ago, this Thursday night matchup looked like a dog. But on Sunday, the Jets notched yet another win over a first-place team, and the Colts nearly pulled off the overtime upset of the Titans. Indianapolis is favored by double-digits on Thursday, but there’s some intrigue as to whether or not the Jets can pull off another upset. Let’s break down our favorite NFL player props within that.

Carson Wentz – Under 256.5 Passing Yards
There were two terrible interceptions at the end of the game against the Titans on Sunday that is leaving a lasting impression, but the truth is Carson Wentz has played well this season.
But no matter the circumstance – in defeat, as with Tennessee, or victory, as with the 49ers and Texans – he simply isn’t throwing for high yardage. Only once all season has he topped 251 yards, and he’s fallen below it seven other times.

Yes, it’s the Jets, but they played solid pass defense against Joe Burrow, and with no T.Y. Hilton in the game because of a concussion, they will have far fewer receiving threats to deal with.
Colts win this game, but Wentz stays under 250 passing yards.
Jonathan Taylor – Over 80.5 Yards Rushing
With Derrick Henry out for the remainder of the season, Jonathan Taylor takes over as the top running back in the AFC.
He has now gone over 110 total yards in five straight games, scoring seven touchdowns over that stretch and averaging 7.3 yards every time he touches the football. Even before Henry got hurt, Taylor was challenging him for AFC running back supremacy.
Taylor has topped 80 yards rushing in three of his last five games, he is second in the NFL in rushing yards, and his 5.4 ypc is only second to Nick Chubb among running backs with at least 100 carries.
Running backs who bested 80 rushing yards this season against New York include Christian McCaffrey, Derrick Henry, and Damien Harris, and Taylor will become the fourth to do it.

Michael Carter – Over 67.5 Totals Yards
Along with the stunning emergence of Mike White on Sunday has been the breakout of rookie running back Michael Carter.
At the NFL Draft, Carter was overshadowed by his North Carolina backfield mate Javonte Williams. Williams was taken with the 35th overall pick, and Carter dropped to 107th. But they were virtually the same player.
Williams had 1,445 yards from scrimmage and averaged 7.3 yards per carrying. Carter had 1,512 yards from scrimmage and averaged 8.0 ypc.

As a member of the Jets rookie class, Carter has also been overshadowed by quarterback Zach Wilson – but not anymore.
Against an excellent Patriots defense, and with Wilson leaving the game injured, Carter still managed 104 total yards. On Sunday against the Bengals, he went for 172 yards (77 rushings, 95 receiving) and was targeted a total of 14 times in the passing game.
He has become the primary offensive weapon for New York, and he will easily top 67.5 yards on Thursday.
