When the Raiders made the daring move to trade for Davante Adams last year, it looked like they were all in for a swift ascent. However, it only led them to a 6-11 finish, falling well short of the dreams they envisioned. With a point difference of -23 and landing 26th in total DVOA, the Raiders’ performance was, to put it mildly, underwhelming.

Raiders Win Total Prediction 2023: Under 7.5 Wins
In the off-season, Vegas decided to throw the dice again, replacing Derek Carr with Jimmy Garoppolo at quarterback. However, the change feels similar to changing the wallpaper in a house that’s on fire: a fruitless endeavor in the midst of a looming catastrophe.
Despite their struggles, the Raiders have decided to give Josh McDaniels another year at the helm. Unfortunately, his track record suggests this may not be the wisest decision. After a less-than-impressive 11-17 stint over two seasons with the Broncos, it’s fair to say that McDaniels is stumbling again.
The fact that star RB Josh Jacobs could hold out doesn’t help.

In fact, it seems the Raiders are in an uphill battle against both their competition and themselves. Not only are they arguably the weakest team in the division, complete with arguably least effective head coach, but they’re also set to face the second-hardest strength of schedule this season.
Their rivals, on the other hand, are gaining ground. The Broncos, behind their new head coach Sean Payton, have an over/under win total of 8.5 and show promise of resurgence. Meanwhile, the Chiefs continue to be a force to reckon with, and the Chargers, who are entering the season in better health than last year, pose a significant playoff threat.
