Premier League Soccer Props – Player Picks & Analysis
For the major slates, primarily in the English Premier League and Champions League, you’ll find our favorite picks and the reasons why.
Slate Overview & Odds – Saturday, April 19th
The upcoming schedule for the Premier League:
10:00 AM ET: Brentford (+150) vs. Brighton (+170)
10:00 AM ET: Crystal Palace (+170) vs. Bournemouth (+160)
10:00 AM ET: Everton (+280) vs. Manchester City (-105)
10:00 AM ET: West Ham (-210) vs. Southampton (+550)
12:30 PM ET: Aston Villa (+140) vs. Newcastle (+175)
We’ve got a great-looking English Premier League slate on Saturday as we inch closer to the end of the season. Only five more weeks are left, with Liverpool still atop the table by 13 points.
The Hammers are the biggest favorites on the board at home against Southampton, who have already been relegated. Man City is also a firm favorite, but the other three matches are all more or less tossups in the soccer odds.
Top EPL Picks
Here’s who stands out from a player perspective in the EPL for today:
Jarrod Bowen
Bowen’s goal production has dipped this season (16 down to 8), but he’s still led the way for West Ham with 13 total goal contributions in 28 EPL matches this season.
As mentioned, this is a favorable matchup for the Hammers, even though they’ve been disappointing overall this term, and Bowen’s attacking role and importance to this West Ham team are both significant.
We’re predicting a standout performance from the club captain on Saturday. Bowen’s goal projection is at 1.27x, or you could play it safer with his goal OR assist projection, which is at 0.83x on Underdog.
Pick: HIGHER Than 0.5 Goals + Assists
Bryan Mbeumo
Mbeumo has been held off the score sheet in back-to-back EPL matches yet still has 16 goals to his name on the year.
It doesn’t help the competition has been fierce recently, as his last three opponents in league play have been Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle. Can he break through in front of the Brentford faithful against a pesky Brighton outfit?
According to Football Reference, Mbeumo has the sixth-most shot-creating actions in the EPL this season (119), behind only Cole Palmer, Bruno Fernandes, Mohamed Salah, Enzo Fernandez and Dejan Kulusevski.
Pick: HIGHER Than 0.5 Goals + Assists (1.14x)
We’ll also be interested to see who starts in midfield and up front for Manchester City.
It’s not a great matchup away versus an Everton side that knows how to pack it in and play defensively, but the Citizens should dominate possession and create plenty of chances.
With Erling Haaland still out, we’d have the most interest in Kevin De Bruyne (if in the starting 11) and newcomer Omar Marmoush for City. KDB’s goal/assist projection is at a 1.14x multiplier, while Marmoush’s is at 1.07x.
12:30 PM ET – Aston Villa vs. Newcastle
This is a great game from a neutral point of view, but we don’t love it from a player perspective.
There is still a lot to play for on both sides. Newcastle is trying to hold on to third place and has been in amazing form, winning five straight league matches while also toppling Liverpool in the EFL Cup.
Aston Villa is in seventh place, tied on 54 points but behind Chelsea due to goal differential. The Villans are one point behind City for fifth and five points back of Newcastle, and they’ve also been playing at a high level. They’ve won four consecutive league matches and pushed PSG to the absolute limit in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Long story short, we don’t see much of an edge in this showdown between two very strong teams.
Good luck!

Slate Overview & Odds – Wednesday, April 16th
The upcoming schedule for the Premier League:
2:30 PM ET: Newcastle (-140) vs. Crystal Palace (+370)
Here’s who stands out from a player perspective in the EPL for today:
Top EPL Picks
Alexander Isak has been a dominant force for the Magpies throughout the season, totaling 20 goals and six assists in 28 matches played.
We like Isak’s chances of at least one goal at home to Crystal Palace, with Newcastle favored at right around -140 on the moneyline for Wednesday.
Pick: HIGHER Than 0.5 Goals (1.19x on Underdog)

Overview & Odds – Monday, April 14
3:00 PM ET: Bournemouth (+105) vs. Fulham (+255)
There is one game on the English Premier League schedule for Monday, with Bournemouth set to host Fulham as small favorites in the odds.
Top EPL Picks
This should be a tight game between two well-disciplined teams. Fulham is in eighth place in the EPL, while Bournemouth has fallen off to 10th.
Recent form favors the Cottagers, but the Cherries have shown a lot of great things this Premier League campaign and will be on their home pitch.
Though he hasn’t been able to break through recently, Antoine Semenyo continues to generate a lot of chances on goal. On the year he’s scored seven goals with four assists in league play.
According to Football Reference, Semenyo has totaled 11 shots and 12 shot-creating actions over his last two games, a 2-2 draw with West Ham and a 2-1 loss to Ipswich.
The attacker’s goal + assist projection could be worth targeting on sites like Underdog for this home showdown with Fulham.
Top Play: Antoine Semenyo HIGHER Than 0.5 Goals + Assists (1.19x)
MONDAY SPECIAL: La Liga / Serie A Picks
Napoli/Empoli — Will Napoli be able to secure a positive result at home? They’re at -280 on the moneyline at time of writing. Romelu Lukaku has totaled 19 goal contributions (11 goals, 8 assists) in 29 Serie A appearances this term.
Atletico Madrid/Valladoid — Atletico is a huge -900 moneyline favorite and should win by multiple goals. Julian Alvarez (14 goal contributions) and Antoine Griezmann (13) would be our preferred targets for DFS and betting.

Champions League Soccer Props – Player Picks & Analysis
For each major UCL slate, we will take a look at our favorite soccer props and DFS pick’em plays on sites like Underdog.
Slate Overview & Odds – Wednesday, April 16th
More second legs of the UCL quarterfinals take place on Wednesday, and we’re here to break it down from a DFS and betting point of view.
The upcoming schedule for the Champions League:
3:00 PM ET: Real Madrid (-120) vs. Arsenal (+300)
3:00 PM ET: Inter Milan (+165) vs. Bayern Munich (+155)
We have another great set of matches on Wednesday, as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich try to overturn first leg deficits.
Top UCL Picks
Here is who stands out from a player perspective:
Kylian Mbappe
Down three goals after a shock 3-0 loss in London, Real Madrid returns home with a gigantic task on their hands.
You’d have to think Carlo Ancelotti’s men will be on the front foot throughout this match, and as we saw yesterday, even large leads aren’t all that safe when Champions League pressure and magic are in play.
We expect a lot of possession and opportunities for Real, and Kylian Mbappe in particular stands out from a DFS and betting perspective.
The French striker has 22 goals and three assists in 29 La Liga matches and seven goals and an assist in 13 UCL appearances. He’s the team’s primary penalty taker and often plays the entire 90 minutes, to boot.
Pick: HIGHER Than 0.5 Goals (1.14x) / SAFER: HIGHER Than 0.5 Goals + Assists
We can also look to other Real Madrid attacking options like Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham considering the situation and how much of the ball the hosts should have.
The other match is trickier, with Bayern hopeful of reversing the 2-1 loss at home. It’s going to be tough sledding away in Milan against a formidable Inter side, and this is a match we’re not all that fond of fantasy-wise.
Harry Kane and Michael Olise are the main danger men for Bayern in attack, but Inter could be content with sitting back defensively and making things difficult for the visitors as they try to protect their precious advantage from the first leg.
Good luck and enjoy the games! Be sure to check out our Premier League pick for today further down on the page!
Slate Overview & Odds – Tuesday, April 15th
The second legs of the UCL quarterfinals take place on Tuesday, and we’re here to break it down from a DFS and betting point of view.
The upcoming schedule for the Champions League:
3:00 PM ET: Aston Villa (+220) vs. PSG (+110)
3:00 PM ET: Dortmund (+245) vs Barcelona (-110)
Both Villa and Dortmund have a lot of catching up to do. They’re down multiple goals after the first leg and now return home in hopes of miraculous turnarounds.
Top UCL Picks
Here is who stands out from a player perspective:
Lamine Yamal & Raphinha
It’s hard not to go back to the well to Barcelona duo Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, who tore Dortmund to shreds alongside Robert Lewandowski in the first leg, a 4-0 win in Barcelona.
Dortmund has no choice but to try and attack in hopes of reversing the huge deficit, which could leave even more space for Yamal and Raphinha, two of the most offensively dominant players on the planet.
If we look at Football Reference’s data across the big five European leagues, Yamal (#4) and Raphinha (#7) are both in the top seven of all players in shot-creating actions in domestic play. Even more impressive, Yamal is first in goal-creating actions (25), while Raphinha is third (21) behind Mohamed Salah (24).
Barcelona’s attack has been just as lethal in Champions League action, and it’ll be interesting to see how Tuesday’s match plays out given the significant first leg advantage.
Pick: HIGHER Than 0.5 Goals + Assists
The other matchup is interesting as well, as Aston Villa tries to overcome a 3-1 deficit at home to PSG.
Over on Sleeper Picks, you can find Ousmane Dembele’s goal projection multiplier boosted to 2.60x, up from 2.23x.
Dembele has been a force for the Parisiens this campaign, scoring 21 goals to go with five assists in 26 Ligue 1 matches. In 11 UCL appearances, he has seven goals and two assists.
We’ll be interested to see if Marco Asensio gets the nod for Villa. He missed two penalties in his last match but the team still won comfortably, and Asensio has been an inspiration overall since making the move to the Villans.

Soccer Props & Betting Strategy Tip: Understanding Odds
Just like in other sports, it’s important to understand the macro game environment in soccer. If a team is heavily favored, such as Manchester City against a weak Premier League opponent, that squad is likely to control possession and create a lot more scoring chances.
Understanding team dynamics and who will be in the best opportunities to succeed and fall short of the mark will help you narrow down your favorite soccer props and betting picks.
