Penguins vs Rangers

UPDATE 6:30 P.M. ET: Shortly before the Game 7 faceoff, New York is a -120 chalk on WynnBet’s Sunday NHL playoff odds board, with Pittsburgh even money. WynnBet opened at Rangers -140/Penguins +120. Moneyline ticket count is running 3/2 and moneyline cash almost 3/1 on the favored Rangers.

The total opened at 6 flat (-110) and hasn’t moved off that number, though there have been several price adjustments. The Over got to -125 at its highest, countered by the Under reaching -120 this evening, but it’s now again at 6 flat. Tickets and money are in the 3/1 range on the Over.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET: With four hours remaining until puck drop, New York is a -125 favorite in BetMGM’s Sunday NHL playoff odds market, with Pittsburgh +105. That’s a significant drop from Friday night’s opener of Rangers -175/Penguins +145, and the price bottomed out earlier today at Rangers -120/Pens even money. That could be in part due to Sidney Crosby (concussion) possibly returning tonight, though Crosby (among others) is a game-time decision.

Early moneyline action at BetMGM has 58% of bets and 67% of cash on the home favorite Rangers. Bettors seem more inclined to take Rangers -1.5 (+200) on the puckline, where New York is attracting 72% of bets/85% of money.

The total opened at 6.5 (Under -120) and toggled to 6 (Over -120) a couple of times. It’s now at 6 (Over -115), with 58% of bets/66% of money on the Under.

Stars vs Flames

UDPATE 7 P.M. ET: Calgary is -210 to Dallas’ +180 at WynnBet, 2.5 hours before the puck drops for Game 7. WynnBet opened at Flames -200, got to -210 late this morning and stuck there. It’s all Calgary on the moneyline, at 86% of tickets and 92% of cash. The total opened at 5.5 (Under -135) and has seen the juice move to Under -145, with ticket count 2/1 and money 5/1 on the Under.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET: Six-plus hours before faceoff, Calgary is a -200 favorite at BetMGM, with Dallas +165 to net the upset. The Flames opened -200 late Friday night and jumped to -208, then backed up to -189 Saturday morning. The return to -200 came this morning. Calgary is taking 69% of early moneyline bets, and those tickets are translating into 85% of early moneyline cash.

Much like Pens-Rangers, the favored Flames are a popular puckline play, currently at -1.5 (+135) and taking 70% of bets/87% of cash in that market.

The total opened at 5.5 (Under -140) and had seen only price adjustments through this morning. Initially, the juice dipped to Under -130, then stretched out to Under -145. With ticket count 6/1 and money 4/1-plus on the Under, BetMGM this afternoon gave in and dropped the total to 5 (Over -140).
