The first game in Week 15 is between non-contenders in the AFC. The Chargers must have players step up without their stud quarterback and top-shelf No. 1 wideout. Two players have eye-catching overs for the Chargers. On the other side, an ancillary weapon has tantalizing odds for clearing a low receiving prop. Let’s run through the Raiders vs. Chargers player props below.

Thursday Night Football Props: Week 15
Here’s a trio of Raiders vs. Chargers player props I like for Thursday’s primetime matchup:
Austin Ekeler Over 29.5 Receiving Yards (-113)
Easton Stick directed five of his 24 passes to Austin Ekeler last week. A 20.8% target share is outstanding for a running back. Yet, Ekeler should be even busier since target-hog Keenan Allen is out.
According to Pro-Football-Reference, Ekeler is averaging 34.4 receiving yards per game, with a median of 33.5 this season. Obviously, downgrading from Justin Herbert to Stick is suboptimal. Still, an uptick in usage without Allen can offset the downgrade in the quality of the targets.
The matchup isn’t too shabby, either. According to The 33rd Team, Breece Hall (47 receiving yards) and Isiah Pacheco (34) had over 29.5 receiving yards against the Raiders since Antonio Pierce was promoted to interim head coach. In addition, Miami’s running backs combined for 32 receiving yards. Thus, since Ekeler has a stranglehold on LA’s backfield’s receiving workload, he should surpass 29.5 receiving yards tonight.

Quentin Johnston Over 2.5 Receptions (+105)
Quentin Johnston has come on strong the past two weeks after a dreadful start to his rookie campaign. The 21st pick in this year’s NFL Draft has had three and five receptions in the previous two weeks.
He’s had over 2.5 receptions in four of his last seven games. Now, Johnston will be pushed up the pecking order without Allen in the fold.
Fortunately, while Johnston has the combination of size and speed to threaten teams deep, the Chargers have fed him plenty of layups. According to Pro Football Focus (PFF), Johnston has had six targets behind the line of scrimmage, 20 targets short (zero to nine yards downfield), 12 medium (10 to 19 yards), and nine deep (20-plus yards) this season.
It makes sense to give Stick some easy throws in his first career start. As a result, Johnston could see an uptick in short targets that ask him to do damage after the catch.

Hunter Renfrow Over 31.5 Receiving Yards (+135)
Hunter Renfrow is an ancillary piece in an offense that runs through Davante Adams and Josh Jacobs first and Jakobi Meyers behind them. Regardless, Las Vegas’s slot has stepped up in five games for Pierce.
Since the Raiders fired Josh McDaniels, Renfrow has averaged 32.6 receiving yards per game, with a median of 38 in five games. Moreover, Jacobs is banged up and might not suit up, potentially putting more on the passing game’s plate. Even in the same role as Renfrow’s had in the previous five games, he should eclipse 31.5 receiving yards, making his betting line a screaming value.
