Syracuse vs. Virginia Predictions

No. 7 Virginia (16-3, 8-2 ACC) suffered a small skid in late December and early January, losing three of five games. However, the Cavaliers have bounced back nicely with six straight victories since then. That includes a 73-66 home victory over Syracuse on Jan. 7 where the Cavaliers won the game but didn’t cover the 12-point spread. It’s also noteworthy how that game went over the listed total of 127.5 points by a decent margin. Virginia is 2-4 ATS on the road and 4-2 to the over.

Syracuse (13-9, 6-5 ACC) is fresh off a bad 85-70 loss at Virginia Tech on Saturday. However, the Orange are 7-4-2 ATS at home this season and 6-3-2 ATS in conference play. As you can see in the section above, the over is 12-2 in Syracuse’s last 14 games overall. It’s difficult to predict which version of the Orange will show up game-by-game. However, playing at home against a top-ten team feels like a spot where Syracuse will give it their best shot.
