3 Best Steelers vs. Titans Player Props – TNF Prop Bets (Week 9)

The Steelers versus the Titans won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. It’s likely to be a slugfest, evidenced by the game’s slight spread and low total. The visitors are unlikely to be bothered by a physical game, thanks to their bulldozing running back. He should be busy on the ground and chip in through the air. Yet, Tennessee’s top running back might not be the only one who succeeds against Pittsburgh. Let’s run through the Steelers vs. Titans player props below.

Thursday Night Football Player Props: Week 9

Here’s a trio of Steelers vs. Titans player props I like for Thursday’s primetime matchup:

Derrick Henry Over 72.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

Derrick Henry is a workhorse and remains productive despite heavy workloads throughout his career. He averages 75.1 rushing yards per game this season, with a median of 80.

The Big Dog was leaned on heavily in Will Levis’s first career start last week and responded by rumbling for 101 rushing yards on 22 attempts. The Titans will undoubtedly feed him as long as the game is close or they’re leading, and the matchup shouldn’t dissuade them from a run-heavy approach.

According to The 33rd Team, the Steelers have allowed 103.3 rushing yards per game to running backs since Week 4. Pittsburgh has also coughed up over 74.5 rushing yards to four running backs this year in seven games. Henry should add his name to the list this week, and his line at BetMGM is a bargain relative to the -125 line found elsewhere.

Tyjae Spears Over 19.5 Rushing Yards (-120)

According to RotoViz’s pace app, the Titans ran on 57% of their 49 plays in a neutral game script last week. King Henry won’t handle all of Tennessee’s rushing attempts. Tyjae Spears is waiting in the wings to spell Henry.

The rookie out of Tulane has excelled in an explosive change-of-pace role, averaging 28.3 rushing yards per game at a blistering 5.8 yards per carry. Spears also has a median of 27 rushing yards per game. So, both his mean and median for rushing yards as a rookie are above his line of 19.5 rushing yards. Thus, I love this prop at a palatable -120 line.

Derrick Henry Over 12.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

King Henry isn’t lauded for his receiving skills. Nevertheless, he’s averaged 2.1 receptions and 19.7 receiving yards per game this season.

Henry has a median of 16 receiving yards this year and bested 12.5 receiving yards five times in seven chances. Last week, Henry had a 13.8% target share and corralled all four of his targets for 21 yards.

Finally, the matchup is favorable for Henry’s receiving outlook this week. The Steelers have allowed 31.5 receiving yards per game to running backs since Week 4. In all, seven running backs have bested 12.5 receiving yards against the Steelers this season.
