Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy (88) works out prior to the game against the Florida Panthers at Amalie Arena.

After two games in Tampa Bay, the story on the New York Rangers in the playoffs hasn’t changed: nails in Madison Square Garden, shaky outside of midtown Manhattan. Maybe they’re secretly powered by proximity to good pizza.

With a series-tying Game 4 win, the Lightning dropped New York’s road record in the playoffs to 2-7. Fortunately for the Blueshirts, they’re Broadway-bound for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Props.com has the full breakdown of Lightning vs Rangers odds and action with a Game 5 betting preview.

Man Advantage

According to BetPrep, Tampa’s Anthony Cirelli has been held off the scoresheet in 11 of his last 15. You’ll have to lay some juice at -140, but at that price, BetPrep sees a 20% edge on this play.

Some other players showing an edge on the BetPrep Prop Cheat Sheet are:

  • NYR Adam Fox Over 0.5 points. Fox is a force for the Rangers and he’s hit the Over in eight of his last nine. It’s another play laying heavy juice at -150, but the expected value is there to the tune of 21%.
  • NYR Jacob Trouba Over 1.5 shots-on-goal. He’s gone Over 20 of his last 24, and at -166 BetPrep sees this as a 20% positive expected value play.
  • TBL Alex Killorn Under 0.5 points. Killorn hasn’t hit the scoresheet in nine straight games. The Under is -150, but there’s 17% edge to be had.
  • TBL Nikita Kucherov Over 3.5 shots-on-goal. He’s five of seven to cash the Over. At +140 there’s 10% edge here.
