Lakers vs. Warriors Predictions

The zig-zag theory is alive and well in this series.

If you recall, the zig-zag theory says to take the team that lost the previous game and bet them on the spread for the next matchup.

The Lakers won Game 1, then the Warriors won and covered in Game 2. Then the Lakers won and covered in Game 3.

So is it Golden State’s turn to cover the spread, and potentially win Game 4 on the road? Keep in mind that the Warriors are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following an ATS loss.

There are some concerns, especially with the Lakers playing fantastic basketball en route to a 30-point victory on Saturday. Los Angeles shot 48.4% from behind the arc, and it won’t lose too many games with a gaudy 3-point shooting percentage like that.

Expect the Lakers to cool off a little bit with the Warriors to pick things up in that department after shooting 29.5% from deep in Game 3. We don’t expect Golden State to keep shooting poorly (39.6% from the field in Game 3), especially considering they have two of the best shooters in the league on their squad.

Also, the Warriors had 14 offensive rebounds in Game 3 compared to six for the Lakers. They have beaten the Lakers in this metric for all three games of this series.

Golden State head coach Steve Kerr is a master when it comes to making adjustments within a series, and the Warriors should come out with plenty of energy in this one.
