TCU vs. Kansas Predictions

These teams met in Lawerence, KS on Jan. 21 and TCU absolutely pummeled the Jayhawks by a score of 83-60. A repeat performance is unlikely, but the Horned Frogs are playing with momentum following a 100-75 win over Oklahoma State on Saturday. That snapped a four-game losing streak for TCU, who dropped contests to Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Baylor, and Iowa State respectively prior to the weekend blowout.

Things got sideways for Kansas in late January, which includes that blowout loss against TCU. That was part of a three-game skid, but the Jayhawks have recovered with six wins in their last seven games. Most recently, Kansas made a second-half surge to beat No. 9 Baylor on Saturday by a score of 87-71. Now the Jayhawks will need to turn around quick and hit the road to try and enact revenge on TCU.

This should be a back-and-forth game that comes down to the last few possessions. All in all, Kansas is probably the better team, but the Jayhawks check in as small underdogs while playing on the road. This is a true coin flip of a game. TCU looked great on Saturday, but the Horned Frogs haven’t risen up to the challenge against top teams lately. Kansas has been playing up to its true potential, and that could continue in this getaway game.
