Kansas vs. Texas Predictions

Things haven’t been going well for Bill Self’s team. The Jayhawks have dropped four of their last six games after going 16-1 up to that point. Ouch! However, there’s a caveat: three of those four recent losses came on the road. Kansas has been much better at home this season (which shouldn’t be a surprise), losing only once at Allen Fieldhouse. The Jayhawks looked unenthused in a 68-53 loss at Iowa State on Saturday, so they’ll need to turn up the intensity on Monday.

Texas has won four of its last five games, and the only loss in that stretch came against No. 2 Tennessee on the road. The Longhorns earned a pair of key victories last week, beating No. 10 Baylor on Monday and winning at No. 7 Kansas State on Saturday. Can the Longhorns keep that momentum in another tough road battle in the state of Kansas, or is this where they run out of steam?

This should be a tight game. Even though Kansas has a strong record at home, the Jayhawks barely came away with several of those in conference play. Expect another close one on Monday, and Texas has a legitimate chance to make a push at an outright victory. Grab the Longhorns +4.5 points.
