Warriors vs. Lakers Predictions

In our Lakers vs. Warriors series prediction article, we made a case for the Lakers to advance to the Western Conference Finals. However, is Los Angeles the correct bet for Game 1? Let’s break it down.

The Warriors have the benefit of home court advantage, where they have gone 28-15-1 against the spread for a 65.1% cover rate.

However, the Lakers are more rested with their last game coming on Friday. The Warriors played Sunday in Game 7 at Sacramento. Los Angeles is 11-5 ATS with two to three days off this season and 13-10 ATS with the rest advantage.

With that in mind, it feels like the Lakers are live to win this game outright. While Golden State has been solid at home this season, the last time we saw them in the Chase Center, the Sacramento Kings had a wire-to-wire 118-99 victory.

We’ll take Los Angeles +4.5 to be safe in what should be a close game, but we wouldn’t scoff at taking the Lakers moneyline (+160) for a higher payout.
