Which brings us to this: In advance of Props.com’s substantial launch this week, we wanted to arbitrarily present a cluster of Individual Player Props for the 2021 season, featuring seven preseason stars (in alphabetical order):

IOWA STATE RB BREECE HALL — OVER 2,000 SCRIMMAGE YARDS
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION
1) As a sophomore last fall, Hall piled up 1,752 total yards (1,572 rushing) and 23 touchdowns on 302 total touches (23 receptions). He finished with sterling per-game averages of 146 total yards and 1.9 touchdowns.
2) Hall is currently projected to be the first running back taken in next year’s NFL draft, assuming the league’s general managers aren’t overly concerned with the Iowa State back’s high usage rate in college.
For perspective, these current NFL tailbacks had the following usage tallies in their final college seasons, respectively: Alabama’s Najee Harris (1,891 yards on 294 touches in 2020), Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor (2,225 yards on 346 touches in 2019), Penn State’s Saquon Barkley (1,903 yards on 271 touches in 2017), Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliot (2,027 total yards on 316 touches in 2015), and Alabama’s Derrick Henry (2,310 total yards on 406 touches in 2015).
3) To reach the 2,000 total yards milestone, Hall needs to average 167 scrimmage yards over 12 regular-season games. Last year, he cracked the 100-yard rushing mark nine different times … and yet, he only collected 167-plus total yards twice (against Oklahoma State and Kansas).
4) Iowa State is loaded this season and could have as many as five All-Big 12 performers on offense this season: Hall, quarterback Brock Purdy, tight end Charlie Kolar, and linemen Colin Newell and Derek Schweiger. In other words, it’s not inconceivable that Hall could average in excess of 6 yards per carry—which he probably will need to do to surpass 2,000 yards.
