The Buffalo Bills and their star quarterback Josh Allen are heading to Jacksonville to take on the struggling Jaguars on Sunday afternoon. The Bills come into this game at 5-2 and as one of the favorites to win the AFC, while the Jaguars are just trying to avoid being the favorite to get the number one pick for the second straight season.

Overview

Josh Allen and this Bills offense have not been clicking on all cylinders this season, but they are still one of the scariest units in football. I expect to see Dawson Knox out of the game this week, but I also think that this will be key in the game for Allen in a positive way.

Knox has had a breakout season, but he is taking away from Cole Beasley’s snaps primarily. I think that Knox isn’t as much of a security blanket as Beasley, and I would prefer Beasley on the field here.

Will Josh Allen Throw An Interception In Week 9?

The instant reaction here is no, but after looking into the stats, this is a really tricky read on Josh Allen when it pertains to predicting interceptions. Usually, pressuring and pass attempts = interceptions, but Allens three interceptions this season all came in games where the Bills were favored, and two of them were just not close.

One thing that is notable is that those three games are also three of the four games that the offensive line allowed a sack on Josh Allen, which I do think is a bit predictive. However, two of these two teams simply stink at getting sacks relative to the NFL, so just how predictive is the fact that the Jags are also one of the worst sack teams in the NFL?

The Bottom Line

Take the under here because it is what makes sense, but we know that the Josh Allen volatility level is very high, and we cannot rely on him to keep to the game script.
