You’ll be hard-pressed to find two teams on different ends of the spectrum than the Los Angeles Rams and Houston Texans. We can take advantage of that for NFL betting purposes.
This can best be rivaled by last week, when these Texans faced the undefeated Arizona Cardinals, losing 31-5.
Now, it’s the Rams’ turn, and there’s every reason to believe this Los Angeles offense is in for a big Week 8. Let’s investigate some NFL betting player props within that.
The Texans Defense
Before we highlight the best players to consider for the Rams, it’s important to acknowledge the defense on the other end.
Houston is one of the NFL’s worst teams, and their defense shoulders much of that blame.
They are a bottom-ten defense in both points allowed and yards allowed, slightly worse against the pass than the run.
They rank 29th in yards per pass attempt and 27th in yards per rush, suggesting that offenses get chunk plays against this defense on a regular basis.
Last week en route to an easy win, Kyler Murray threw for 261 yards, and the team ran for 172 yards.
It should be a similar type of output this coming Sunday.
NFL Betting Opportunities & Player Props
Los Angeles has been an elite offense, led by Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp.
Kupp has yet to see less than ten targets in a game and is currently averaging 115.6 receiving yards per game, massive numbers for the slot wideout.
There’s no reason to think Stafford is going to suddenly stop looking Kupp’s way, so load him up confidently this coming Sunday.
Another fine option I recommend is Darrell Henderson, the Rams’ running back.
He had a modest game last week, finishing with only 45 yards, but this is a volume play.
In the six games Henderson has played, he hasn’t seen less than 13 carries. Considering the Rams are likely to go up big early against the Texans, there will be plenty of rushing opportunities for Henderson. He is a very solid bet to hit his over and find the end zone.
