Princeton vs. Creighton Predictions
Princeton made a shocking Cinderella run to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament, but they’re now running in a buzzsaw in Creighton. The Tigers are a team that wants to shoot from deep, and Arizona and Missouri were two teams that allowed that to happen.
Creighton is an entirely different type of defense, as they have elite perimeter defenders, and they consistently run their opponents off of the line. The Bluejays are giving up only 6.3 three-pointers per game this season.
Creighton also has outstanding size throughout their lineup. Once their guards run you off of the line, 7’1” Ryan Kalkbrenner is waiting in the paint. He boasts an outstanding 6.2% block rate this season.
Essentially, Princeton is going to have to score in the mid-range throughout this game, and I’m not entirely sure they’re good enough to consistently do that. The pace should also slow quite a bit once Creighton gets out to a large lead.
