The 49ers are massive favorites at home against the visiting Giants. San Francisco should impose their will this week, and New York will likely be forced to air it out to attempt to keep up. Thus, the 49ers vs. Giants player props reflect the probable good game script for San Francisco and the negative one for the Giants.

Thursday Night Football Prop Bets: Week 3
Here’s a trio of 49ers vs. Giants player props I like for Thursday’s primetime matchup:
Daniel Jones Over 37.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
Daniel Jones is a genuine dual-threat quarterback, using his legs as a weapon weekly. He’s rushed for 102 yards through two games after averaging 44.3 rushing yards per game in 2022, per Pro-Football-Reference.
Understandably, the G-Men use their mobile quarterback on designed runs. According to The 33rd Team, Vanilla Vick had four designed runs in each of the previous two contests. The Giants might need to dial up Jones more frequently on the ground this week since Saquon Barkley has a sprained ankle.
Additionally, Jones can add to his rushing ledger as a scrambler when dropping back on pass attempts in a negative game script.

Darren Waller Over 46.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
When the Giants are almost certainly in a negative game script on Thursday night, they’ll need to air it out to attempt to keep pace. And when that happens, Darren Waller should be featured prominently in the passing attack.
According to Pro Football Focus (PFF), Waller ran a team-high 39 routes in Week 2. The pass-catching tight end also played 90% of New York’s offensive snaps. Waller parlayed his playing time and hefty route participation into a robust 21.6% target share, six receptions, and 76 receiving yards.
Waller can have another stellar effort against the 49ers. While San Francisco’s defense is unquestionably elite, they’ve allowed three wideouts to eclipse 46.5 receiving yards this year. In Week 1, Allen Robinson had 64 receiving yards against the 49ers. Then, Puka Nacua erupted for 147 receiving yards, and Tutu Atwell had 77 in Week 2.
Since Waller is primarily used as a jumbo wideout, he can best 46.5 receiving yards.

Christian McCaffrey Over 79.5 Rushing Yards (-103)
Christian McCaffrey has been an unstoppable force so far this year. He leads the NFL in rush attempts (42) and rushing yards per game (134.0) in 2023, blowing up for 152 in Week 1 and 116 in Week 2.
CMC has been outstanding for the 49ers. He was eased into action the week he was acquired but surpassed 79.5 rushing yards in eight of 15 subsequent games. In that 15-game sample, he had a median of 84 rushing yards and averaged 80.9.
The 49ers might scale his workload back on a short week if they’re blowing out the Giants. Nevertheless, the matchup is ideal, and CMC can rush for over 79.5 yards even with a reduced workload. Per The 33rd Team, the Giants have been pulverized for 212 rushing yards by running backs this year. Finally, like the other props, the Bet Prep projection supports making this bet, projecting McCaffrey for 89.0 rushing yards.
