Lakers vs. Grizzlies Predictions

It looked like the Lakers were going to close out the series in Game 5. However, Memphis went on a game-winning run in the second half. That occurred with Lakers superstar Anthony Davis on the bench. Davis and head coach Darvin Ham are determined to not let that happen again.

The Lakers are clearly treating this like an elimination game. The last thing they want is to play a win-or-go-home contest back in Memphis.

The Grizzlies haven’t been a great road team, going 1-5 against the spread in their last six away from home. On the other hand, Los Angeles is 5-1 ATS following a game where it didn’t cover the spread, which was the case in Game 5.

In fact, Memphis has been on a historically bad run away from home, losing 17 straight as a road underdog this season. That includes going 2-15 against the spread in those games.

LeBron James and company won by 10 and six points (overtime) respectively in their two home games of this series. Friday’s contest could have a similar result with the Lakers ultimately advancing to the second round.

Take the Lakers to win and cover the 4.5-point spread.
