Right now both the Saints and Dolphins are out of the playoffs. Miami is 7-7, a game behind the seventh seed in the AFC, while the Saints are 7-7 and only behind the NFC’s seventh seed because of a tiebreaker. If there are any two teams that could end up surprising their way into the postseason, it’s these two clubs. Miami is on a six-game winning streak after starting the season 1-7, and the New Orleans Saints just handed Tom Brady his first shutout in 15 years. Let’s look at some of the best NFL player props within this crucial matchup.
All odds via BetPrep as of 8 a.m. ET on Dec. 24.
Miami Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa
The Prop: Tua Tagovailoa Passing Yards at New Orleans Saints
The Odds: Over 241.5 yards (-116)/Under 241.5 yards (-114)
The Dolphins’ current six-game win streak is in large part to the ever-improving play of Tua Tagovailoa. He struggled a bit last week, but in the three weeks prior he completed 80% of his passes while averaging 249 yards per game.
That’s been great for the Dolphins in terms of them finding life at the end of the season, but it’s not good enough for him to get more than 241 passing yards on Monday night. This Saints defense is simply too good.
Tom Brady was just shut out, and only once in the last six games has a quarterback broken 240 yards. For Tua’s line, take the UNDER.

New Orleans Saints: Alvin Kamara
The Prop: Alvin Kamara Rushing Yards
The Odds: Over 59.5 yards (-118)/Under 59.5 yards (-114)
With rookie Ian Book getting the start at quarterback in place of both Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian, who were placed on the COVID/reserve list on Thursday, we should get a steady diet of Alvin Kamara.
Kamara only ran the ball 11 times in the strange 9-0 New Orleans win over the Buccaneers, but the week before that he carried the ball 27 times for 120 yards. He has carried the football 20 or more times in five games this year, and Monday should make it six.
The Dolphins have been solid against the run, but Kamara still hits the OVER based on sheer volume.
Miami Dolphins: Jaylen Waddle
The Prop: Jaylen Waddle Receiving Yards
The Odds: Over 64.5 yards (-111)/Under 64.5 yards (-119)
Back after a week away due to COVID-19, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is ready to resume his attack on a 1,000-yard rookie season. If he averages 51 yards over the last three games, he will get to 1,000.
But he’s been much better than that, going for 90 yards in Week 14 against the Giants, and 137 yards in Week 13 against the Panthers. He was at 65 yards the game before that, at the Jets, giving him three straight starts that would hit this over.

Young, speedy wide receivers like CeeDee Lamb and DeVonta Smith have had success against the Saints, and so will Waddle. Take the OVER.
