Sportsbooks far and wide saw lopsided Golden State action for Game 2 of the NBA Finals. Bettors who provided that action got there with ease, as the Warriors evened the series against the Boston Celtics. Now it’s on to Game 3, where Boston is a home favorite in the Warriors vs Celtics odds market.

Will Stephen Curry and Co., now slim favorites to win the NBA Finals, keep it going? Or will the Celts continue to be the bounce-back kings?

UPDATE 10:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Golden State led 52-50 at halftime of Game 2, then boat-raced Boston 35-14 in the third quarter to take an 87-64 lead. The Warriors put it in cruise control from there, winning 107-88 as 4.5-point favorites to tie the series at 1. That halted an 0-4-1 NBA Finals ATS slide for Golden State, dating to its 2019 loss to Toronto in the championship series.

Now in Game 3, the Warriors (66-34 SU, 51-45-4 ATS) are catching points, and they’ve gone 7-3 ATS in their last 10 as an underdog. Golden State is also 6-2 SU and ATS in its last eight games overall. However, five of the six wins were at home, and the road hasn’t been quite as kind to Dubs bettors. Golden State is 1-5 ATS in its last six on the highway.

Tonight’s setback slowed a 4-1 SU and ATS surge for Boston (64-38 SU, 57-43-2 ATS). But the C’s are still 22-10-1 in their last 33 overall.

And as noted above, perhaps more consoling for Boston is its propensity to not lose back-to-back games SU. Since Jan. 21, that’s happened only once to the Celtics, at Toronto and at home to Miami in late March — meaning it hasn’t happened at all in the postseason. Boston is 6-0 SU and ATS when coming off a SU loss in these playoffs.

The Warriors are 2-2 SU/2-1-1 ATS against the Celtics this season. The road team won the first three meetings SU, but Golden State slowed that trend in Game 2 of the Finals. However, Boston is 12-3-2 ATS in its last 17 against Golden State (5-2 SU/5-1-1 ATS last seven).

Game 2 fell miles short of the 213.5 total, making the Over/Under 1-1 in the NBA Finals and 2-2 in this season’s four Celts-Dubs meetings. The total has also gone high in six of the Warriors’ last eight roadies.

However, the Under is 7-3 in Boston’s last 10 games laying points. Furthermore, the Under is a sturdy 12-3 in the past 15 Celtics-Warriors meetings overall.

Injury Report

Golden State’s Andrew Iguodala (neck) played 12 minutes in Game 1, after being out since April 24. However, he didn’t play in the Game 2 rout. As of Sunday night post-Game 2, there were no injuries to report for Boston ahead of Wednesday’s Game 3.
