The Eagles and Giants meet for the third time this season. The Eagles prevailed in both NFC East battles in the regular season. However, the Giants rested their regulars in Week 18 and still hung with the Eagles, losing 22-16. Two players who sat in that matchup should be busy in this game. As a result, their overs are enticing. Meanwhile, the Eagles are favored, enhancing the appeal of an over for one of their players. Let’s break down the Eagles vs. Giants player props below.

Daniel Jones Over 44.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

Daniel Jones had fewer than 44.5 rushing yards in 10 of 17 games this year. However, Vanilla Vick rushed 17 times for 78 yards in the Wild Card Round against the Vikings. Jones’s rush attempts were a season-high, and his yardage was his fourth-highest mark.

The effort showed the Giants would pull out all the stops with their dual-threat quarterback. Jones was also at his best as a runner later in the year. He had more than 44.5 rushing yards in his two previous games (91 in Week 17 and 78 last week) and four times since Week 11.

Meanwhile, according to The 33rd Team and data from Sports Info Solutions, the Eagles allowed the fourth-most rushing yards (448) and a blistering 6.49 yards per carry to quarterbacks this year. Thus, the matchup is good for Jones on the ground. As a result, I’m taking the over for 44.5 rushing yards by Jones.

Richie James Over 4.5 Receptions (+110)

The Giants are underdogs in this contest. So, they’ll likely have to air it out. It’s an unenviable task to pass against Philadelphia’s talented defense. However, they’re somewhat susceptible in slot coverage.

For instance, according to The 33rd Team, Rashid Shaheed had five receptions against the Giants from the slot in Week 17, CeeDee Lamb torched them for 10 receptions in Week 16, and Richie James had six receptions in the slot against the Eagles in Week 14.

James had more than 4.5 receptions in three of his last five games. He’s also gone over 4.5 receptions in the Giants’ previous three losses when he played (i.e., not in their loss in Week 18 when he and many of New York’s starters were rested). So, James is a good bet to get peppered with targets if the Giants play from behind. Therefore, getting plus odds on James having more than 4.5 receptions is exciting.

Miles Sanders Over 66.5 Rushing Yards (-120)

A game script that’s good for James is also good for Miles Sanders. The Eagles can lean on their rushing attack if they’re leading or in a neutral game script. The matchup is also outstanding for Sanders.

First, according to Football Outsiders, the Giants are 31st in rush defense Defense-Adjusted Value Over Average (DVOA) since Week 13. Second, running backs have steamrolled the Giants for 122.1 rushing yards per game and 5.3 yards per carry since Week 13. Third, the Eagles might reduce Jalen Hurts’s rushing workload to protect his shoulder and distribute some of those rushing opportunities to their lead back, Sanders.

Unfortunately, Sanders was bottled up for 33 rushing yards on 11 attempts in Week 18 against the G-Men. However, he destroyed them for 144 rushing yards on 17 attempts in Week 14. Ultimately, I believe the Eagles will win, and the positive game script will allow Sanders to exceed 66.5 rushing yards against New York’s Charmin-soft run defense.
