Monday Night Football Props: Week 2
Here’s a trio of Steelers vs.Browns player props I like for Monday’s primetime matchup:
Myles Garrett Over 0.25 Sacks (-166)
Myles Garrett is a wrecking ball. According to Pro Football Focus (PFF), Garrett was tied for the fifth-most quarterback hurries (47) in the regular season last year. He used his elite pass-rushing skills to exceed 0.25 sacks in 12 of 17 games since last year, including recording a sack against the Steelers in Week 18 last season.
In addition, Kenny Pickett hasn’t been a challenging quarterback to sack. He’s been sacked at least once in 11 of 144 starts and taken multiple sacks in eight contests. The matchup is also cushy for Garrett. PFF graded the Steelers 32nd in pass protection in Week 1. Thus, Garrett shouldn’t have trouble sacking Pickett in this contest.

Nick Chubb Over 80.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
Nick Chubb is a workhorse, and the Browns are favored. It’s an ideal combination for him to pile up rushing yards. Chubb rumbled for 106 yards on only 18 attempts last week and averaged 89.7 rushing yards per game last season. In 2022, he exceeded 80.5 rushing yards 11 times with a median of 92 yards in 17 contests.
The matchup is also good for him this week. According to The 33rd Team, Pittsburgh has allowed 94.3 rushing yards per game and 4.4 yards per carry to running backs since last year. Christian McCaffrey gashed the Steelers for 152 rushing yards on 22 attempts last week. Moreover, the Steelers are without injured run-stuffing defensive lineman Cameron Heyward, clearing an easier path to rushing yards for Chubb.

Deshaun Watson Over 0.5 Interceptions (+105)
Deshaun Watson hasn’t played quality football since he was reinstated from suspension last season. He’s thrown an interception in five of seven games for the Browns, including tossing two against the Steelers in Pittsburgh last season. In his only other meeting against Mike Tomlin’s Steelers in 2020, Watson also threw an interception. Furthermore, per PFF, he’s had at least one Turnover-Worthy Play in five of seven games for the Browns.
The Steelers, despite last week’s ugly showing, aren’t a pushover, either. They had an interception in 11 of 17 games in 2022. Additionally, according to Pro-Football-Reference, the Steelers had the highest pressure rate (55.9%) in Week 1. Cleveland could struggle to protect Watson, especially since stud offensive tackle Jack Conklin is out for the year after tearing his ACL last week. So, betting on Watson to throw an interception is exciting at plus odds.
