This edition of the NFL Prop Betting Angles series will focus on the Cincinnati Bengals’ offense in Week 8.

The Bengals are favored by 10 points at the New York Jets, which is one of the bigger spreads of the weekend.

Cincinnati has been playing strong football on both ends, and their offense, in particular, has helped spark a 5-2 record, good for best in the AFC.

On the other end is a 1-5 Jets team that just allowed the Patriots to score 54 points. On the season, New York’s defense is a bottom-five unit and is pushing to be the worst in the NFL.

With that established, there’s a lot of opportunities to bet on the Bengals when planning your Week 8 props; let’s break them down.

Passing Game

It’s a pretty equal split when considering which area of this Jets defense to exploit with prop bets, as they are both quite weak.

We’ll start with the passing game, as Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase have been on an absolute tear together.

Chase, in particular, has quickly emerged as one of the best receivers in football despite playing in just seven games.

In his last three contests, the first-round pick has gone for 159, 97, and 201 yards. On the season, he’s averaging 107.7 yards per game.

He’s a star and Burrow’s favorite target, so there’s every reason to think another big game’s in store.

Both Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins are also viable options this week, with 45 and 43 targets, respectively.

Burrow is spreading the ball around, so perhaps you prefer to avoid the risk of picking the wrong receiver by just loading up the quarterback in your bet slip instead.

Burrow is averaging 279.4 passing yards per game and has thrown 17 touchdowns.

Running Game

If this game gets out of hand in a hurry, as the spread suggests, there’s value to be had in the run game.

The Bengals have been getting both Joe Mixon and Samaje Perine involved lately. Perine has taken 11 carries in each of the last two weeks, averaging just over five yards per carry in that stretch.

Mixon is still the starter and the player you want in this offense. He has yet to see less than double-digit carries in a game this season and should have his chances for a big game against this soft Jets defense.

The entire offense is a viable target this weekend, so consider picking a few for your player props, and enjoy the action!
