The Philadelphia 76ers rolled at home in Games 3 and 4 against the Miami Heat, with the Sixers bolstered by Joel Embiid’s return. Then Miami put the hammer down in Game 5 to take a 3-2 series lead. Still, for Game 6, Philly is a short home chalk on the NBA playoff odds board.

Will top-seeded Miami finish off Philadelphia and advance to the East finals? Or will the 76ers force the Heat to Game 7?

No. 1 Miami Heat vs No. 4 Philadelphia 76ers (7 p.m. ET)

UPDATE 5:30 P.M. ET THURSDAY: Ninety minutes pre-tip for Game 6, Caesars Sportsbook has the 76ers laying 2 points in the Thursday NBA playoff odds market. The Sixers opened as 2.5-point favorites late Tuesday night. Within literally one minute, the line dipped to -2, and it’s since toggled between -2 and -2.5.

Point-spread ticket count is 2/1 and money beyond 3/1 on Philadelphia. However, on the moneyline — Philadelphia -135/Miami +115 — ticket count is 3/2 and money 3/1-plus on the Heat. That includes two big bets from one Nevada customer: $30,000 on Miami +120 and $20,000 on Miami +115.

The total dipped from 208 to 206.5, with 70% of tickets/60% of cash on the Over.

UPDATE 6:30 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: Miami (59-33 SU, 52-39-1 ATS) rolled to a 120-85 victory as a 3-point home chalk in Game 5 on Tuesday night. The Heat were in control from start to finish, leading by double digits through the final 2.5 quarters.

That ended an 0-2 SU and ATS hiccup for Miami, which improved to 13-4 SU/12-5 ATS in its last 17 games. However, the Heat are in ATS ruts of 1-4 in their last five roadies and 0-5 as a playoff underdog.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia is surely glad to return home, where it’s gone 5-1 SU and ATS in its last six. The 76ers are also 6-2 ATS in their last eight laying points.

The SU winner has cashed in 11 straight Heat-76ers meetings. So far this season, Miami is 5-4 SU and ATS against Philly, but the Sixers are 4-1 ATS in their last five at home against the Heat.

Game 5 fell barely short of the 207.5 total, giving the Under a 3-2 mark in this postseason series. Miami is 8-2 to the Under in this year’s playoffs.  Meanwhile, the Under is 7-2 in Philadelphia’s last nine conference semifinal games, 7-3 in Philly’s last 10 overall, and 7-3 in the last 10 Heat-76ers meetings.

Late Tuesday night, FanDuel opened Philadelphia as a 2-point Game 6 favorite in the Thursday NBA playoff odds market. The Sixers have since toggled between -2 and -2.5 a few times and are currently -2.5. The total is fairly stable at 207, after opening at 207.5 and seeing a brief stint Tuesday night at 208.
