Georgia vs. TCU Prediction

Let’s face it: Georgia has a massive talent advantage. Conventional wisdom implies that the Bulldogs should calmly glide to victory as long as they don’t turn the ball over. However, that’s much easier said than done against a TCU defense that prides itself on forcing mistakes.

On the other side, the Horned Frogs have moved the ball extremely well for the entire season. Granted, this will be their toughest test to date, but Georgia hasn’t exactly been a defensive stalwart as of late. As mentioned in the College Football National Championship Props article, the Bulldogs gave up 348 passing yards to Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud and 502 (!) to LSU quarterbacks in the SEC Championship. In the semifinal, Stroud’s mobility was useful in avoiding the Georgia pass rush and finding receivers down the field. TCU QB Max Duggan can replicate that.

All in all, this is too many points for a scrappy TCU team with enough offense to keep it close. At this spread, we are open to the backdoor cover as well as the Horned Frogs exceeding expectations with a close game throughout.
