Thursday’s Best Bets went 2-for-3, which is just fine by us. We’ll take a 66.6% winning rate to the bank whenever it’s offered.

Speaking of winning rate, our Best Bets are 8-4 on the week heading into Friday. That’s despite a few close calls working against us.

Even though there’s only one game on the board, we are still keeping things in the NBA playoffs. Go ahead and check out our top three picks for Grizzlies vs Timberwolves, including one bet on the spread and two player props.

The bet: Memphis -1 (at Minnesota)
The odds: -110
From: Matt Perrault via The Bostonian Vs. The Book podcast

Matt Perrault of The Bostonian Vs. The Book podcast is starting to heat up with his NBA playoff picks. The Mavericks and Jazz stayed Under 210.5 total points on Thursday, helping Perrault cash his portion of Best Bets for the second straight night.

Perrault is looking for a three in a row on Friday, and he’s betting Memphis -1 at Minnesota to make that happen.

On Thursday, the Suns, Mavericks, and 76ers closed out their respective series on the road. Perrault believes that trend will continue with the Grizzlies tonight.

Here are a few more reasons why Perrault is siding with the Grizzlies:

  • Memphis is 26-16-1 ATS on the road this season.
  • The Grizzlies are 35-21-1 ATS against the Western Conference this season.

All in all, Perrault believes that Memphis is the more talented team, and he likes the short number in Game 6.

If you agree with his rationale, you can find Memphis -1 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

NBA Prop: G/F Anthony Edwards

The bet: Over 3.5 made 3-pointers (vs. Memphis)
The odds: +110
From: Spencer Limbach via NBA Props Friday

This prop was actually part of Tuesday’s Best Bets series. Edwards failed to go Over 3.5 made 3-pointers in that contest, going 3-for-9 from behind the arc in Game 5. That marked the first time in six games the second-year pro failed to reach four triples in a game.

There’s a decent chance Edwards gets back to his sharpshooting ways tonight. Volume shouldn’t be a problem, as the electric wing player is seeing nearly 40 minutes per contest in this series. He’s not shy about shooting the ball either, averaging 9.5 attempts from deep across five games in this series.

There has been plenty of scoring between the Wolves and Grizzlies over the last two weeks, and Game 6 will likely extend that theme. The total is 228, and you better believe Edwards will do everything in his power to keep Minnesota’s season alive. Expect plenty of minutes, shots, and makes from beyond the arc.

Getting modest plus-money (+110) to the Over serves as the proverbial icing on the cake.

NBA Prop: F Brandon Clarke (Memphis Grizzlies)

The bet: Under 8.5 rebounds (at Minnesota)
The odds: +105
From: BetPrep Prop of the Day via BetPrep.com

The BetPrep Prop of the Day also comes from this Timberwolves vs Grizzlies matchup. Brandon Clarke is the subject of this offering, with BetPrep taking him Under 8.5 rebounds in Game 6.

Sure, Clarke is seeing more minutes and boards in the playoffs, but this line could be inflated. The Memphis forward snagged 15 rebounds in Game 5, thanks to seven offensive boards and a rebounding frenzy across the last five minutes.

Prior to that, Clarke went Under 8.5 rebounds in three straight games against the Wolves. And he’s failed to record nine-plus rebounds in his last eight road games. Regression could take hold here.

You can find Clarke Under 8.5 rebounds at +105 at Caesars Sportsbook.
