Eagles vs. Browns Predictions

The Browns pulled out a win over the New York Jets in the Hall of Fame Game, then they lost to the Washington Commanders 17-5 last Friday. QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson has been a bright spot, combining to go 17-for-21 with 186 passing yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions in those contests. Fellow QB Kellen Mond tossed a touchdown in both preseason games so far as well.

The Eagles couldn’t quite get the job done against the Baltimore Ravens last week, losing 19-20 on Saturday. Marcus Mariota and Tanner McKee saw most of the action at quarterback in that game. That should be the plan again in Week 2.

Eagles vs. Browns Picks

The Browns have already come out and said that they won’t play their starters. It wouldn’t be surprising if the Eagles followed suit.

Overall, it feels like the Browns are in more capable hands at the quarterback position. Josh Dobbs, Thompson-Robinson, and Mond are all competing for the backup quarterback spot. Thompson-Robinson has especially impressed, and the Browns have now played two preseason games to iron out the wrinkles.

The Eagles don’t have a very good track record in the preseason under Nick Sirianni (1-5 straight up). Put it all together, and we are siding with the Browns while getting 3.5 points.
