Eagles vs Bears Preview – Friday, Nov. 28
The Eagles have won games by scores of 10-7 and 16-9 in the last month. Their offense has been maddeningly inconsistent, alternating between explosive drives and complete stagnation. They’re 1st in the NFC East but feel like the most vulnerable division leader in football.
Last Week’s Disaster: The Cowboys came to town, and Philly jumped out to a 21-0 first-half lead. Jalen Hurts threw a touchdown pass and ran for two rushing scores. It felt like a blowout. Then Dallas scored 24 unanswered points, and the Eagles were shut out for the final 40 minutes.
Saquon Barkley fumbled for the first time all season. The offensive line got pushed around. And Lane Johnson—their six-time Pro Bowl right tackle—suffered a Lisfranc foot injury and will miss at least three games. The Birds’ offensive line has been hurt (and just simply worse), and that shows you have important that group is, even if you have arguably the best skill position player on paper in the NFL.
Chicago is 8-3 and leading the NFC North, but every single game feels like a near-death experience.
They’ve won four straight games—all decided by one score. They beat Minnesota 19-17. They beat the Giants 24-20. They beat Pittsburgh 31-28 and Cincinnati, 47-24.
Caleb Williams has orchestrated multiple fourth-quarter comebacks this season, which is a franchise single-season record. The kid is clutch. The kid is fearless. But the kid also can’t put teams away.
Eagles vs Bears Props – Free Expert Picks Today
The Eagles are 15-24 without Lane Johnson since 2013. That’s a .385 winning percentage. He’s not just their best lineman — he’s the difference between a playoff team and a .500 squad.
Philly’s offensive line has not been helping Saquon Barkley out at all this season. That being said, the Bears are the perfect recipe to get back on track. What’s the best way to recover from last week’s pure embarrassment against Dallas? Run the damn ball.
On the flip side, Colston Loveland has been a printing press. There’s no reason to believe Williams will stop looking toward the talented rookies’ direction on Friday.
- Pick: Saquon Barkley Higher Than 76.5 Rushing Yards
- Pick: Colston Loveland Higher Than 29.5 Receiving Yards
